You are doing great ! Me, I have gained some. I haven't been on this site in months and hope today is the beginning of a new determination for me. It was nice to see a familiar name.
Good morning botts
The house is getting pretty furry from the spring big dog coat drop, however I am ignoring it today. I have been working in my kitchen for months. I finished the cabinets and pantry and now am going to remove the very outdated wallpaper border. I tried scraping it off but realized that it is nearly impossible. I ordered a wallpaper steamer. Today I am going to begin the process rather than routine cleaning. I think the border removal will make a mess anyway. Hope you all have a great day. Tri
My food plan today:
B: bran chex and almond milk
L: pork, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, nsa carrot cake
S: Greek yogurt, clementines
D: chicken, whole wheat pasta, tomato sauce
S: veggie soup, metamucil crackers
I know. I've seen that.
I call my journey - a weight setpoint reset.
For a while I was able to maintain at around 165... +/- 3 lbs - 162-168.. And most of my attempts to get below 160 were just momentary... But I kept plugging along... Finally this year my body let go and for over a month now I am maintaining at 156-159 level..
I would like to be at 153-157 ..but by now I know it may take me 6 months to a year to get there... I see 155 156... here and there... I have time..

It's a challenge. I don't know if this link will work, but the Biggest Loser found that after contestants lost weight their metabolisms slowed down making maintenance difficult. It is so important to pick ourselves up and get back at it again. That is what I like about this group. People understand. You have done so well over the years. I really need to get under 200 lbs. for my self confidence to return. Tri
I admire your determination.
I don't post here often, but I love seeing you are still plugging along.
I am very close to my goal.. 2-3 lbs...but it takes forever. I could be eating the right things.. and the scale just laughs at me..
I lost app 8 lbs since November last year.. it is a zigzag pattern. lose 2 lbs - gain 2- lose 4-gain 3..
I learned that my body weight fluctuates within 4 lbs +2/-2. I am already in my goal range most of the mornings.. but at the high end..With no room to spare.. I have a 8 year WLS. doc visit and i would like to be at my goal - not only on my house scale- first thing am, but at my doc office - mid of the day - fully dressed. (because - probably like most of us - I weigh myself butt naked, after my BM...)

I have not been logging my food for the past couple of days. I got on the scale and I am back to 207 again. I was 204 before my trip last month.... Pick myself up, brush myself off and get back at it again. So I wrote down my food today. I want to get back under 200 lbs. It has been years since I have been 199 lbs. I hope you all keep going too. Tri

I have been busy lately and not logging my food. My scale battery died a week ago so I have no idea if I have gained or lost. I have been cleaning out my pantry. 60 running feet of shelves. Hauling everything out and washing every spice jar etc., pulling off the old contact paper and replacing it. I found really nice shelf liner made by the Duck tape people. Not sticky and yet it lays flat. I can't believe how much expired food I found. We want to downsize. I didn't realize how much shelf space was in the pantry until I measured it for shelf paper. I cleaned out cabinets a couple months ago and donated lots of pots and pans. I am going to get rid of a lot of small appliances that I never use. Anyways, I have 2 shelves left today. I hope to finish. Hope you all have a great day. Tri

Hi Lisapelly
Sounds like you are doing great. I need your enthusiasm to get myself bot. Tri
well technically I don't have a pouch as I am a VSG'er. But I am on day 3 anyway and I really feel it's helping me restart. The first two days are liquids. Soups and protein shakes and SF jello or pudding. I actually breezed through those and lost 3 pounds those 2 days....so feeling motivated. Today it's the soft proteins. I will have a hard boiled egg for breakfast, cottage cheese and tuna for lunch, a shake for a snack and a salmon cake for dinner, maybe some jello after if I feel the need for a sweet thing. I really feel like the pouch test is making me really focus on what I am eating instead of mindlessly munching on the carbs all the time like I started to do again, resulting in a 40 pound gain. But 3 of those 40 are gone, so that is a start! I am motivated now to keep going. Cheers! Happy monday :)
