Good morning botts:
It was nice to get out of the house yesterday and be with people. Life has been pretty boring since Memorial Day weekend. Tuesday I see my foot surgeon and he will remove my stitches. I hope I can walk without crutches or my scooter. I see the infectious disease doctor at the end of the month. I hope I can walk before then.
Mayo clinic diet stresses fruit, veggies and whole grains. I am not really sure what I should eat. The diabetic educators also include a lot of healthy carbs, but a carb is a carb. I am going to aim for fewer carbs today by eliminating lactose (in milk) and fructose (in fruit). Cheese is low carb but still has the calcium. It seems like insulin pushes every carb into my cells causing weight gain. 10 years of a crippled RNY is hard to put behind me. Perhaps I need to fight my insurance company for a revision? I also need to find an experienced surgeon that I can trust. I am not really sure what to do. For now I will live one meal at a time. Tri

Good morning botts:
I went to bed early last night so that I wouldn't eat anymore. I am still 203 lbs. this morning. 25 lbs. lower than my highest regain 19 months ago. Onederland is so close. Today is a road trip to see friends and family, so I know it will be hard to stay bot. Sitting in the car and on the couch is not very much exercise. It ended up that the only food available was fruit and veggies and tortilla and salsa other than desserts and drinks. I abstained. Have a great day everyone. Tri

Hi botts;
I had foot surgery last month. I am on insulin again even though I am eating almost no carbs. I need to start posting my meal plan to get into onderland asap for my own self esteem. I still can't bear weight on my foot so exercise is not possible. Hopefully I will be able to walk in a couple of weeks. take care, Tri

Hi botts;
I have been re-losing for a couple years. It is so slow. I am down to 203 lbs. again. I had foot surgery last month and am stuck in the recliner. I am not eating badly but without moving it is slow. I can see onederland around the corner. I am on insulin again which I swear makes losing difficult. I simply won't give up. I hope to be on both feet again in a couple weeks. take care, Tri
I had RNY in July 2008, so that's going to be 8 years next month and I have gained 42 pounds for the last 3-4 years.....
Slowly the pounds kept coming... I felt comfortable with food and adult drinks and here I am now.
As of this morning I weigh "180.3" and as of last week I was weighing 184.9 pounds.
I gave it a kick in the ass last week. I have co-workers that love to workout and eat clean so I made that change.
OUR SYSTEM STILL works, we just need to give a boost.
Come on guys we can do it! Work out and eat clean and still bring those protein shakes into our daily lives. We can do this.
EXAMPLE this morning--- We had an ALL STAFF MEETING at work. Muffins, cookies, yogurts, chocolate raisins and fruit.
-----I MADE SURE I had enough protein me in order for me not to crave anything. I felt full. I was good.
We can all do this.
You can do it!!!
Have a great weekend guys. Keep posting. PROTEIN!!!
I am also 4 years out. I have gained 27 pounds in the last 7 months. I have been BOTT for a few weeks. I have to say the weight is not coming off. Today I decided to do protein shakes for 2 meals and a piece of salmon for dinner. I am hoping this will kick start my weight loss. I had a melt down last night when I had to go to a graduation. I tried on outfit after outfit and nothing fit. How could it! This is not where I want my life to go. I am trying each day to remember why I had this surgery. I swore I would never throw away the gift. Hanging on. Please come back and post. We all could use the support.
I am 4 years and have gained 50 in the last 2. I want to cry! Saying that I know we can do this.
Have a beautiful day
I'm almost 15 yrs out and in the last 4 yrs I've gained 40 lbs back. I want to cry. I need help
Just wanted to touch base to see how everyone is doing. I have put together 1 week with no sugar or refined carbs. It is one day at a time, but I have not been able to put together 1 week in a long time. Small victory.
