Hi Anita

Congratulations on your first child.  I gained with each pregnancy.  Also many of us are in your position...40 lbs. to lose.  Even without a baby.  Great you caught it while you were still under 200 lbs.  People have all kinds of ways to re-lose, but it usually is slower than we want.  I am a believer of keep what I don't want to eat out of the house.  It is hard enough when I am out.  You will find what works for you.  take care, Tri

Today was a tough day.  I did it without sugar. Huge victory!  The weight is really coming off slow. I lost 5 1/2 pounds in 2 weeks.  My calories are between 500-800 a day.  Mostly on the low side.  I will keep going forth. At least I am going in the right direction.

Wishing everyone success in staying BOTT.

The Mayo clinic ... has been pushing the whole "natural carbs": for years if not decades.. I bought that a few years ago...  that put me over 250..and needing RNY...

newest study suggest lower carbs - more fat- moderate proteins are the key. Plus IF.  Intermittent fasting.

When i started the IF - I did that for my gut- my IBS.. at the same time - my weight just dropped ... Ia m not eating less calories.. just different - more fat and more real foods...

I eat during 8-10 hours in every 24 hour window. Not only My A1C dropped from 5.5 to 5.1.. and I dropped to where my doc told me not to lose anymore weight...(I still dropped 2 lbs - trying to stop losing)

I eat nuts, nut butters (NSA) bacon, eggs, coconut, non starchy veggies,  pork rinds, and .. some berries...

I am now increasing berries to stop the weight loss..

I don't eat grains or starchy veggies...- due to IBS- they can really cause a lot of pain. Dairy - I am allergic.. so try to stay away from that also..

I eat late at night- app 8-9 pm.. then don't eat until at least 12 next day... I push non calorie liquids in the morning...
