Thanks Tri,

It depends on my insurance approval whether or not I can get the revision but this looks like a good plan to follow either way.

Good morning botts:

I tried not to eat too much last night.  I went to bed early.  I am back at it today.  I already did 2 loads of laundry and I will make nsa/ff cheesecake and clean the powder room. i also cleaned the kitchen and took out the back garden. I need to get to the gym too.  My foot surgeon said I can swim and ride a stationary bike.  The steam room is calling out to me.  Sometimes de-stressing in there helps me more than the exercise.  Over the last 10 years I have been beating myself up over failing at wls. I ask myself what I could have done differently?  Why did I eat this or that?  I should move more!  I know a lot of people also do this to themselves.  All we can do is the best we can.  Sometimes guilt from going off track leads to more eating for comfort.  I had  a Weight  Watcher leader that told us over and over not to eat more, just forgive ourselves and take a walk around the block.  Those were truly wise words.  Have a great day everyone.  Tri

My food plan:

B: cheerios and plain Greek yogurt

S: salad

L: beef and whole wheat pasta

S: rf cheese and Slimfast chips

D: veggie soup, beef and pretzel roll

S: Nature Valley nut protein bar

Good evening botts:

We went to a Polish buffet for lunch.  Hard to work this into the diet plan.  I did skip dessert and the portions were small.  By dinner the starches were used up.  Protiens were 1/2 gone.  I had almost no dairy and no fruit at all.  I hope to fill in what was missing from now until bedtime so the day isn't a total disaster.  I will do better tomorrow.  Tri

B: 1/2 cup Greek yogurt and 1/2 cup Cheerios

L: Polish buffet: chicken drumstick, 2 pieces Polish sausage, 1 golabki, 2 pierogi, potato salad, mashed potatoes, cucumbers, side salad and 1/2 dinner roll

D: 3 oz. chicken, veggie soup

S: nsa cheesecake, strawberries

Hi Edie

You are so lucky your surgeon will help you.  In the meantime the Restore trial was in 2007 to 2008.  My RNY failed immediately and my mother-in-law's GI doctor was involved in the study.  The procedure failed and never was approved.  The diet I have found very helpful over the years.  3 meals a day not more than 5 hours apart.  I guess this is what we need to live.  Tri

per day:

6 oz. protein

2 to 3 starches (1/2 cup cereal, pasta, rice, English muffin or a piece of bread etc.)

2 to 3 cups low fat dairy

2 to 3 fruit servings

2 servings vegetables 1/2 c cooked or 1 cup raw

Great nob Tri! Can u tell me what the restore diet plan is please? I'm struggling with weight loss and need to lose at least 80 lbs. Had an endoscope 2 days ago and found my pouch is stretched so my Dr. is looking into revision. But I know I need to get back on track whether I qualify for the surgery or not so I am interested in the restore diet.
Keep up the great work!

Hugs.. Glad to see you back...I was worrying about you.

This group forum is dead.  Looks like people just read - if any.

As I mentioned before - I joined other, more active groups and got more support and...eventually reached my goal ...and passed it by 6 lbs... Now I am trying to maintain and not lose more. I was In a losing mode so long...that it is very hard for me to add more carbs.  I am trying...

Good luck ...

BTW - you eating is so different than most RNY that try to lose...but as long as it works for you ' great...

Hugs...

Good morning botts

I am down 2 lbs. and 210 lbs. this morning.  I got home from a meeting last night and ate a sandwich rather than the nsa cheesecake as planned.  I definitely ate less then recently yesterday.  It is hard getting used to the smaller portions.  I will continue the Restore diet plan today. I will clean and swim today for exercise. Have a great day everyone.

Take care, Tri

Good morning botts:

I am 212 lbs. on my scale.  Random eating is not working.  As Hala said this group is quite dead.  I thought perhaps my boring posts were a problem, but no one posted since me in August.  Clearly planning my food helps me to take off weight.  If it's all the same to you, I need to start up again with my daily plan.  I am able to walk on my foot, swim and stationary bike again.  My incision is still healing from my June foot surgery, but the surgeon said the xrays are fine.  I was in the Restore trial in 2007 to 2008 and the diet was great.  Not sure how my portions expanded but it is time to cut them down again.  I have no restriction whether I eat 1 cup of food or 1 quart of food.  I know a lot of you feel the same way 10 years post op. BOT one more time...hopefully forever!  Tri
