Not sure about calorie intake but that's the range that works for me under 1000. I'm 4 years post op vsg, trying to lose pregnancy weight. I keep my cardio calories low also since I'm not consuming alot of calories.  Don't burn more than you consume is my #1 rule. I need to lose around 50 pounds and keeping my calories below 1000 a day puts me in fat burning stage.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Normally my eating doesn't differ a ton on the weekends although my husband and I may go out to eat one night.

This weekend, however, I slacked a bit today with some parties and family get-togethers. Ah well, back to business tomorrow.

B - Atkins shake

L - Chili, 2 mini pigs in a blanket, chocolate cupcake

S - Lean Cuisine Fajita Chicken Rolls

D - Chuy's Chicken Enchiladas (partial)

Topic: calories

Hi Have an appt coming up in a few weeks with my nutritionist but I wondering how many calories are people eating I was down 100 lbs and have regained 30, been back on track for few weeks but the scale is moving up and down, I am eating between 900-1000 calories, someone suggested this is too little. I am thinking maybe I need to get down to 800.I am doing about 70grams of protein a day. Experiencing extreme knee pain so my exercise is very limited, probably averaging 1 mile per day. Thoughts?

Weekends are a bit different for me.  I tend to eat less and play more.  I am going out for late lunch dinner so only 2 meals.  Busy day.  Yoga class, hair cut and then mani and pedi.  Then picking up my Dad and meeting family and going out to eat.  Have a great weekend

B-Oatmeal blueberries and a scoop of unflavored protein powder

L D- Chilean Sea Bass with spinach

S-Maybe some almonds if I need a snack

Topic: RE: confused about certain "rules"

the NUT who I saw twice basically told me what I already new.  She said 3 meals and a 2 snacks in the beginning as there was no way I could get my protein in with the amount I was eating.  I did 3 meals and sometimes a snack.  I added protein powder to whatever I could.  I have always stayed low carb, but was more liberal during my weight loss phrase.  I ate quinoa and sweet potatoes. No bread, rice etc.   I found when I got to goal and in maintenance I had to cut back on these foods to maintain.  Now my carbs come from oatmeal and blueberries each morning and green veggies with lunch and dinner.  I do eat nuts as well.  I have switched from regular milk to coconut to reduce carbs as well.  I am trying to lose my 7 pound regain and have to cut back to about 800 calories.  I am getting there.  Some eat 5 meals a day others 2.  I think you have to find what works for you.

I'll have to try the hummus and egg. That sounds good.
