Hi Genie,
Something is going on? Something is keeping you from getting back on track. Identifying that is the hard part. Write everything down. How you are feeling, when you are feeling down and what is happening during that time. Are you doing all the basics you did to get to goal? I bet you will find you are not, make a list and check them off as you go through your day. If you are not journaling, logging your food, going to a support group and all other steps you did before when you were successful, get back to them!
I knew I was not, but was amazed when I started paying attention again. I had moved away from all my steps for success. No wonder I had stress weight gain!
If moving is an issue, at least go to the store and or mall and push a cart around. Get a cheap step counter and try and get back to 10,000 steps. Great way to get started again. You can also put some music on and shake it girl!

I understand! Head issues and stress issues are our biggest hurdles to overcome. I had this life style in the bag. Stayed the same weight for 10 years. Then my husband started having serious health issues and I started to reach for food and moved away from everything that had kept me on track and healthy. I am back on track now, but it took some serious soul searching.
If you have access, go back to your support group meetings. LOG everything. When you feel uncomfortable note what is going on? Get back to recognizing those red flags and then prepare to do battle. Yes I said battle LOL
Read the sticky posts at the top of this page. There are some great reminders of our basics that got us to goal in the first place. Make note of them and add them one by one to your daily life.

Hey Kathy! I'm doing pretty well! Am focusing on protein drinks all day and then a healthy protein/veggie dinner, plenty of water, and taking a walk on my lunch break. Will try to add some yoga soon!

Hi BOTT Family,
I'm not doing so great. I've hit plenty of bumps!!! I never thought that 2015 would find me in such a slump. I haven't been running or done any exercising, I mean I know what to do, I just can't seem to kick it into gear. I pack my survival lunch bag everyday and never touch it...who does that? I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day and I'll do better, because I'm starting to feel the weight gain and I'm not liking it. I'm open to suggestions and feedback!!!

Sometimes I feel it is the same bump that just keeps coming back. Woke up yesterday feeling uncomfortable. Some might call it anxiety. There was nothing in particular that was more stressful than any other day. I had breakfast and 2 hours later I want to eat. Made it to lunch, but then got into grazing on almonds. I don't know why I find it so difficult to tolerate discomfort. It is like a child that doesn't know how to sooth herself. So eating when I am not physically hungry. When I do this, there is no way for me to know when I am full or satisfied as the hunger is not real. On a positive note I didn't throw in the towel. I ate dinner and that was it for the day. I have been doing really well and when I go off track I find it hard to not berate myself. I know this doesn't help, but I feel like a failure again.
Had a better day today. With great effort I stayed focused. I guess one day at a time. I am trying to lose a regain of about 7-10 pounds. I am really not that interested in the number. I just want my clothes to not feel snug. Not super goal focused. I know there is no magic number for me. I can feel the regain in my body and this is something I really couldn't when I was obese. I guess that means I am more in touch with my body because I try so hard not to leave with food.
I started a yoga class again and I do love it. I miss walking outside as I am just to cold. Thinking of renting a Zumba tape from the library to see if I can do it with back and knee injuries. Not giving up either.

After getting a great start I have been sitting scale wise at the same place for over a week. I know I need to move but back issues are throwing road blocks my way. Usually by now I would have joined a gym and love doing Zumba, swimming, weights and I even did boot camp. But I am eking out walking. NOT giving up
How are you guys doing? Any speed bumps? Doing great with getting back on track? Share what is working for you!

Sorry to say that I sometimes blow it on the weekends, unfortunately. Sometimes too much time on my hands or very busy and not have the right foods.
