Too much proteins can cause gain weight. Lean proteins can turn into sugars...

Balanced proteins and fat and some carbs works best from me.

Proteins - specially predigested like whey shakes..increase insulin production .

Insulin prevents fat / weigh loss.

Google food insulin index.

Give it a try and see what happens.  I don't know what the nutrition is of what you're eating but it can't be much. It would be interesting to see if you feel different physically and are more satisfied with more protein that you're eating.  The first time I had to lose my regain, I did protein shakes and a few other things and it was a set up for a binge (actually, binges).  When I ate more lean protein with my meals, I didn't feel as though I could eat an elephant.  My cravings subsided after awhile and I was able to stay on track.

You got this!

Hi Drea29.

Yes, I was just reading my other posts. I now feel that I have to change my protein part of my diet.
MORE PROTEIN!!!! LOL!

Hang in there, I am also very impatient and when I don't see results in the scale I hate it. But one thing we must do.... Do not throw your hands up. Just try harder!

Hang in there GF! Let's do this.
Keep us posted!

Saving this post!  While I can't walk very far yet with my bionic knee replacement, I will.  I'll refer to this then.  Thanks!

I understand about regain!  I've had a couple of regain periods and they are rough.  I've been able to lose the regain but it was much different than it was the first time when I originally lost it.  It is much, much s-l-o-w-e-r of a weight loss which adds to the frustration.

Back to basics is good but from what you list as to what you're eating, that doesn't seem like nearly enough.  Two protein drinks, a salad and a small piece of string cheese doesn't add up much.  I wouldn't have satiety either.  That would be what I'd eat on a diet.

I suggest you eat more lean protein, veggies.  Maybe a protein shake in the morning but for lunch and dinner, a lean protein such as chicken, fish, or other lean cut of meat.  You could have a salad  and for the other meal enjoy a steamed vegetable.

With all you're doing (T25??  wow!) and eating, I'd be concerned that your body is going into starvation mode thus not losing weight.  When we restrict our food too low, our body hangs on and won't lose.
