i think as long as we are loosing ( if needed) and healthy then what works for us is individual ...but that sounds so much easier..

I don't know if it is right or wrong but this is what I am doing.  I don't' count anything but calories and protein.  I can't count everything.  It's too much pressure.  I'm focusing on protein with my eye on calories.  I'm trying to make it as easy on myself as I can without driving myself nuts.  Keeping my head in the game is the most important for me.

I totally agree what an eye opener! I think I have always taken a 'cleansing' sip when my meal is finished.  Who knew!!!  And this morning while drinking my protein shake I started to take my morning vits....hmmm water...   Take first or wait half hour.

That seems high to me too.  I eat an average of 60-70 grams a day.

I've talked with a few nutritionists and heard a rough way to determine protein grams.  If a person weighs less than 250 pounds, they can take their weight and divide it by 2 and that is the number of protein grams for them.

I hope that helps.

Me too!  I really needed DailyMae's post.  My first meal after reading her post was dinner last night.  I didn't sip!  It sounds so simple - just a sip, but it is challenging, at least for me.  Now that we have the YouTube link, that'll help me even more.

Thank you for sharing the link.  After reading your post yesterday, I didn't do my normal sip after I ate dinner.  That's my new goal to stop doing.  I'll watch it today for further reinforcement on my new habit.
