Topic: Gripe

I find it annoying that OH displays that delicious brownie on the opening page.  As soon as I see that thing my mind shifts to sugar - desert- bakery- cookies- candy......  The deserts although lo cal etc should be left on a recipe page. If I am looking for a desert or treat I can go there and look for one. I'm trying to lose weight and don't need the visual distraction.

Oh my !  A slice of cheese and some crackers !!   What would we have felt guilty about back before our decision to get healthy ??   Our perspectives have definetly changed !!   Good for us !

Yowza Waysta!  3,000 steps and 32 oz. of water so early in the morning when you wrote your post.  You GO!!!

I'm kinda of bummed at myself today - I indulged my night time eating last night.  I ate some crackers and one slice of cheddar cheese. Not horrible I guess but wasn't a part of my planned eating for yesterday.  A few crackers and one slice of cheese is certainly better than it could have been, and has been in the past!   Today's a new day and keeping my head in the BOT game.  

It is my wedding anniversary today.  My hubby called this morning before I started work to wish me a Happy Anniversary - awww

today is cooler in the Texas panhandle.....but at least I don't have to deal with what the northeast is dealing with.......if you live in the icy,snow dumped area.....stay safe and warm !

my plans for today......walk 10,000 steps.....have walked 3,000 so far

                                 Drink 90 ounces water.......finished 32 oz.

                                  Eat healthy and purposefully 

breakfast....................coffee/protein

lunch..........................tuna salad/crackers/apple

dinner.........................chicken/veggies

I hope everyone has a great and healthy day !   I plan to !!!

I have been seeing this therapist and doing EMDR for about 2 months. I don't actually see much improvement - will keep at it for a bit longer and see if it begins to help. I am uncovering traumas and experiences in my past that my have contributed to the onset of my eating disorder, but I still struggle every day.

Lapband surgery in 2009 -  Revision to RNY August 13, 2013 with gallbladder removal.

HW - (260)   SW - (197)   GW - (135), updated on 1-2-14 to 125lbs  HT 5'5"  Goal reached 3/2/14-revised goal to 120 on 3/9/14   reached 4/6/14

It stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Has been used successfully with PTSD to desensitize and reprocess memories, typically traumatic memories to overcome PTSD. It has also been used for eating disorders, which is what my therapist is using it for me.

I have only been in EMDR therapy for about 2 months. It does bring up alot of past traumas, but that is the point. So far, I haven't found it to be helping but maybe I need more time.

Protein really does help everything!!
