I can't believe it is easier to eat all day. I guess it makes sense. By eating small amounts every hour, I am not getting the blood sugar's rise and fall as food slides quickly through my pouch, stoma and intestines. At 3 pm, for example, I ate a peach and a cup of coffee with a little milk and sf caramel coffee flavor...one fruit dot. Now it is a little after 4 and I am warming up my veggie soup (broth, celery, mixed veggies and diced tomatoes)...one veggie dot. By 5 pm I will be ready for "dinner" which will be a tortilla with diced rotisserie chicken breast (no skin), a little salsa and shredded fiesta cheese...one starch dot, one protein dot and one dairy dot. I still have a fruit dot, a dairy dot and a veggie dot for this evening. Hopefully, I will lose a pound again this next week. Time will tell. Tri
I read in a grocery store tabloid that a woman lost 137 lbs. eating all day long. I am using the check off sheet below to keep me eating the right amount of food during the day without a lot of tracking. For some reason the columns won't line up when I submit it. You get the idea though. Each hour I eat a serving of something. I use standard ADA exchange list. There are 18 dots, so at 2 meals I eat 2 dots (a starch and a protein). I am awake for 16 hours each day so it works out to 18 dots. I have been doing this for the past 3 days. I lost another pound today. Tri

So nice to hear from you. I hope you're doing well. I know exactly what you mean. This going to take me a long time, but each pound makes me feel better both emotionally and physically. Here I go again....Tri
It's been a long time since I logged in, so good to see you on here! I'm still struggling with my weight, need to lose about 100 lbs but I'd be happy with 60 for now. I'm interested in what the dot diet is, I wonder if I can lose on 1600 a day. I try to go on 1200 a day or less but after a couple of weeks I fall off the wagon and eat well over 2000. I'm 5' 3" 253 lbs and 60 yrs old and tired of this yoyo dieting.
I really think this dot diet is working for me. I felt great yesterday. I did wake up at 2 am looking for food. I had a glass of water, but ended up going downstairs for food. I ate broccoli and avocado on whole grain crackers. Then I went back to bed and slept well. I wasn't sure how to count the snack. In the end, I filled in the dots on today's plan. I ended up sleeping later so at 3 pm I am on schedule. I wasn't sure how to count avocado. I like them, but don't eat them frequently. Today I counted 1/2 small avocado as a fruit serving. Anyways, I feel great today again. I am getting by with 1650 cal. If I can continue this I will eventually return to 165 lbs. which was my normal weight much of my life. I wonder if this plan will work for other wls failures as well. Tri
I read a tabloid at the grocery store about a woman who lost 137 lbs. by eating all day. Why not try it? I can eat a ton of food if I eat all day. However, if I eat a little every hour I can limit my calories. Over the years I have seen many dietitians and joined many diet groups. Most of them want me to eat 3 servings of protein, dairy, fruit, veggies, starch and fat each day. So I made a check off sheet with 3 "capital O's" to fill in next to each of the food group titles. I filled in the dots as I ate the corresponding food serving. I didn't write down the food...I only filled in the dot next to the category...much easier. Today I have been eating a serving of something every hour and 2 at mealtimes. I never feel like I have swallowed food no matter how much I eat. Even a huge salad with many veggies slides right through. It is 3 pm and I have filled in 11 of the 18 dots. My blood sugars have been steady. I feel good. I really hope this works.
It is 9 pm and I just ate my last fruit serving. All 18 "0s" are filled in. That is about 1650 calories. Hopefully I will be able to sleep tonight. Tri

I am very hungry today. I am down 3 lbs. and that seems to have triggered a new level of hunger again. I have always wondered if sucking out, cutting off or Sonabellaing old deflated fat cells would decrease hunger? I am too old for that sort of thing now anyways. I have been picking up, cleaning and gardening today to keep my mind off my appetite. Tri
