Well we didn't get the snow, but we got the cold. Weighed in this weekend and lost 3 1/2 pounds last week. Keeping my carbs at 20 or a bit below is helping to jumpstart the losing of the regain. I am going to continue as I have 8 more pounds to go. Had an aha moment in therapy tonight that helped. Since I reduced the carbs, I have felt that I am being too restrictive. I described it as having one foot in being kind to myself and the other in the restriction mode. I felt conflicted. She said to me you are just setting limits for yourself. Bingo! I had for so many years gone from bingeing to restriction that I was confusing the two. Setting limits is healthy and what I need. It is not punishing or dieting. Sometimes the simplest things take the longest to learn. Thanks for being here it has helped me stay on track.

drea29 - I hope your sore throat is better or went away!
I didn't have a great day. I woke up and my knee was swollen and ached badly. Stupidly, I got into carbs late afternoon and went to bed really early because I was tired of the aching.
Today was a better day and got right back on track from yesterday. We have 6-10 inches predicted here tomorrow, which is nothing compared to what the East Coast has been experiencing.
Here was my day today:
B - 2 cups of coffee w/cream & Splenda
L - 1 slice vegetable pizza
D - Pork tenderloin with steamed broccoli
S - Apple with 1 slice cheddar cheese
S - 1/2 graham cracker with 1 T. peanut butter
Have a great day.

Losing regained weight sucks. It is a frustratingly slow process. Please don't give up. Post here on BOTT so we can support you. On our daily catch up and food, post on it. When I post to it, I'm more accountable.
My story and struggles with being back on track is that I've had two regains. I lost it and then turned around and regained it again. Dumb. I'm an emotional eater and with my second regain, I returned to grazing and sugary carbs. I had to deal with the issues that caused me to emotionally eat and develop non-food strategies so I didn't regain again.
Both times, I returned to how I ate after I'd been post-op a few months. I had RNY/Gastric Bypass so I lost quickly and easily right after I had surgery. The regains were anything but quickly and easily. I stopped grazing, cut out sugary simple carbs, ate complex carbs occasionally and focused on protein and vegetables. At the time, my knee was okay so I was able to workout 4 times a week. I lost slow, an average of 1 to 2 pounds a week.
There were lots of times that I was frustrated and wanted to give up. A few times, I did for awhile only to regain a couple of pounds. I got really tired of that cycle so I stopped weighing myself, and ate healthy and exercised.
For me, it has been important to be consistent with eating and exercising, and only weigh once a month.
