Back On Track Together
April 29 A new week begins....
Today starts a new week and I am going to give it my all. I think Fridays will be my weigh in day. I am going to fine tune my meals. I haven't felt like I have swallowed food since 2 weeks before my rny when I started the liquid diet. If I overeat, food rapidly raises my blood sugar. If I take extra insulin, my appetite goes crazy. I am not really sure what my diet plan should look like. 6 meals is still sending my on a blood sugar roller coaster. I have split my Lantus into a morning and evening dose. It is helping my blood sugars. I am now going to try smaller more frequent doses of Humalog this week. Maybe I need 8 or even 12 meals a day. I think today I should experiment. Over the past 15 years I have been physically helped by a few wonderful doctors and hurt by many doctors. If a surgery can be botched it has been. For years I have a recurring nightmare of being strapped onto an operating table and repeatedly stabbed. I am actually scared of going to the clinic. This makes a revision impossible for me so I have to find a way to manage my weight and blood sugars on my own. Tri
