Good morning botts:

The weekend was a lot of fun.  My guests are in and out all day today.  I wish I could go with them but my foot is holding me down.  It really looks better every day. I am now struggling with low normal blood sugars so I am shaking before meals again.  I take Lantis insulin only now. I don't need the pre meal sliding scale regular insulin anymore. I weighed myself this morning and I am 206 again.  I didn't eat much yesterday, but insulin pushes every calorie out of my blood and into my cells.  I wonder how few calories I will have to eat to lose weight.  Have a great day everyone.  Tri

My meal plan today:

B: Jimmy Dean delight 250

S: salad:lettuce, 1/2 tomato, cucumber, vinegar, 1 t. olive oil, Mrs.Dash, nuts and seeds 200

L: chicken sausage, whole wheat bread, rf cheese 300

S:plain Greek yogurt and clementines 200

D:chicken, mac and cheese, Asian veggies 350

S: Nature Valley protein bar, Slimfast chips, Nutrasystem D cookies 450

1750

Morning!

The plan I follow is 800-1000 calories to lose (1200 maintain)
and less than 50 g. carbs and at 80-100 g. protein a day. You can do 4 shakes plus a protein and veggie meal or 5 small protein veggie meals and some low sugar fruit. I have been on it for a month and lost about 15 lb. Low carb/calorie is the only way I can lose.

B: eggs, cheese and bacon (went out for breakfast )

L: 2 oz. ground beef, 1 cup zucchini and 1/2 cup low sugar sauce

D: crack slaw- 2 oz. ground chicken, coleslaw mix with seasame oil, ginger and soy sauce

Snacks: 1) protein shake 2) 1 oz. each ham and cheese and 3 mini pickles

Have a good day!

I can eat more calories if I stay low carb (but not super low carb) and increase my fat...

and when I follow a real food diet. Nothing really prepared - or "manufactured". Buying real meat- real veggies, eggs, and some fruits (berries) and nuts.. The only nut butter I buy - are the ones that have nuts +salt..nothing else... if I want a "cookie" I bake it... from "real - " stuff.. no mixes or protein bars, or even already made burgers or sausages...

the fillers some manufacturer add - you really never know what is in there. I chose more fat instead of more proteins.  It forces my body to burn fat - since too much proteins may turn into sugars.. fat - will not...

with my low carb lifestyle =- I re-carb every 7-10 days..  I would eat more carbs - most of the time - more berries... or some cool chips ...that i made or bought... (i.e. terra veggie chips - I woudl eat a serving with NSA salsa and avocado mix into it).

My last 5-10 lbs I lost following IF (intermittent fasting) with 14:10 ratio (eat only during 10 hour window in every 24 hour period). Since I don't like breakfast- and I may get low BSin a middle of the night- I typically eat LNS (nuts) app an hour before bed.  That slowly keeps being digested over night ..and I don't start eating until at least 12 hours the next day (14-16 hour the most) ... so if I eat at 9pm.. the next day I may wait until 11 or noon (14-15 hours)( before I have lunch... That has been working great for me...

it seems that if I start eating too early - some days I just want to eat and eat and eat... Delaying eating - not only limits my calories , but also helps with me drinking more liquids, plus really helps my IBS...

i.e. yesterday :

I had coffee, tea, water till noon. Then I had meatloaf with some NSA pickles, then I had a 2 oz of nuts, then more meatloaf with pickles... At home - I had some almonds and chips with salsa.. not a lot....

I had chips because I am trying to stop losing weight - and I am trying to increase my calories... but I was not very hungry...

today - I had liquids and ... I just finishes a bowl of homemade egg drop soup with 1/2 avocado... later on - not sure .....

following more fat- low carb diet - keto diet - really makes me not very hungry...

Even low glycemic type food - that could be good for a normal person - is not good for me...

unfortunately - i don't tolerate most raw veggies - so salads are out... but you can make the volume you may need by adding nice salads or just steamed veggies with a lots of butter...
