Good morning botts:

It was nice to get out of the house yesterday and be with people.  Life has been pretty boring since Memorial Day weekend.  Tuesday I see my foot surgeon and he will remove my stitches.  I hope I can walk without crutches or my scooter.  I see the infectious disease doctor at the end of the month. I hope I can walk before then.

Mayo clinic diet stresses fruit, veggies and whole grains.  I am not really sure what I should eat.  The diabetic educators also include a lot of healthy carbs, but a carb is a carb.  I am going to aim for fewer carbs today by eliminating lactose (in milk) and fructose (in fruit).  Cheese is low carb but still has the calcium.  It seems like insulin pushes every carb into my cells causing weight gain.  10 years of a crippled RNY is hard to put behind me. Perhaps I need to fight my insurance company for a revision?  I also need to find an experienced surgeon that I can trust.  I am not really sure what to do. For now I will live one meal at a time.   Tri

My meal plan today:

The Mayo clinic ... has been pushing the whole "natural carbs": for years if not decades.. I bought that a few years ago...  that put me over 250..and needing RNY...

newest study suggest lower carbs - more fat- moderate proteins are the key. Plus IF.  Intermittent fasting.

When i started the IF - I did that for my gut- my IBS.. at the same time - my weight just dropped ... Ia m not eating less calories.. just different - more fat and more real foods...

I eat during 8-10 hours in every 24 hour window. Not only My A1C dropped from 5.5 to 5.1.. and I dropped to where my doc told me not to lose anymore weight...(I still dropped 2 lbs - trying to stop losing)

I eat nuts, nut butters (NSA) bacon, eggs, coconut, non starchy veggies,  pork rinds, and .. some berries...

I am now increasing berries to stop the weight loss..

I don't eat grains or starchy veggies...- due to IBS- they can really cause a lot of pain. Dairy - I am allergic.. so try to stay away from that also..

I eat late at night- app 8-9 pm.. then don't eat until at least 12 next day... I push non calorie liquids in the morning...
