Hi all. I'll try to give a quick background for those that may not know me. I had vsg in 2010 and went from 287 to 209. Never got to under 200. Never got to goal. Gained back to 250. Had rny in November of 2014. Got down to 196. First time under 200 since GRADE SCHOOL! Extremely excited and then I don't know what happened. I fell off the wagon. And gained to 219 where I sit now. I have two special needs son and will be going through a divorce soon. (Marriage has been bad for years). But I need to take care of me. Going to the gym tomorrow for the first time in months to start classes I used to take. I'm 40 and will be 41 in June. Just looking to be a support to anyone and also hoping to receive some as most times I feel alone on this journey. Look forward to making new friends. :)

Hi and welcome... The first step is to see the problem.  Then to fix it.  One day ata time, one meal at a time.

one bad meal does not give me an excuse to mess taht whole day.

One bad day is not an excuse to mess up a week..

and so on...

For me to lose weight is all about diet.Exercise can make me feel better.. but limiting calories and carbs is the only thing that makes me lose weight and fat.

It is easier said than done... stress eating, eating when i get tired - I known "fixes - make me good fixes".

but now - when the stress is high, and I do have the "mangies" I makes sure I have real food to eat. Chicken, pork, fish, and some low carbs veggies... HB eggs are great "to go snack"..

I cna now see the real hunger vs the head hunger. There is only so much chicken I can eat..

Making sure i have real food is critical. Planing planning and prepping. I cook lots of food at a time - portion and freeze. Or I buy "ready to eat" food and keep it handy. (i.e. baked chicken,  pork roast, beef roast) Something that has no sugar added (NSA) and it is as simple as I would make it at home..

(pizza in not on the  list - unless it is for my SO)
