I wonder if we can eat like those initial days after wls. meaning protein shakes, clear foods, then soups, etc. at the time I was taking in about 500-600 calories with 60g of protein..I was thinking of doing this for  1-2 weeks to get rid of the dreaded carb monster.....

A lot of people follow the 5 day pouch test and it works really well.  That is sort of like newbies. You can lose your regain.  Tri

If you don't mind feel like you are starving...

I know I can't do that. To decarb - I pick 3-5 days and follow very low carb diet but I eat dense proteins mostly and some non starch veggies plus fat. D

Uring those days I don't limit qty or calories... But limit what I eat... I.e. baked chicken..with some cucumbers, NSA pickles.. Eat as much as you want. Avocado 1 -2 a day.

HB eggs, griled or sauted fish, pork loin, Turkey..etc.. Green salad with oil and vinegar - just avoid balsamic - high in sugars.

Cold cuts - most of them have sugar added - avoid or chose some that don't - eat ham and cheese roll ups..

After 2-3 days - my body naturally adjust and I am no longer "starving".. How much chicken a person can eat??? And when I get hungry - but not hungry for chicken or fish - then I know it is head hunger - carbs cravings , not real hunger..

For me to get the "dreaded carb monster" out of my system, I cut them out 100% at first by allowing myself to eat ANY type of proteins and ANY amount I felt I needed. By eating as much as I wanted of foods that had NO carbs I didn't feel deprived or starving. While still cleaning my system of carbs. After the second week I felt so much better already and then switched over to healthy proteins with lower fat (according to my plan) and added in only vegetables for carbs. Seemed much easier to me and less of a punishment. You can get rid of the weight!! Each of us is different and have to find what works for us. Best of luck to you and us all.

I started on Saturday and so this is day 5. I've stuck with protein shakes, cottage cheese, a few slices of chicken and home made soup that contains ground turkey, veggies and tomatoes....day 2 was bad, but 3-5 has been better. I'm trying to walk more as well atleast the recommended 10,000 steps a day.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I don't want to starve myself but I have to eat less... Grazing and not measuring has got me here

Grazing is a very bad one! I TRY now to set meal times (can be very difficult for me since I work late hours often). But I have gotten good at sticking to my 2 meals a day now (I have never been a breakfast eater). If I had lunch 2 hours ago and get hungry, I tell myself that it is too bad and I have to wait until a decent dinner time! I tell myself lie's like, "hunger pains are what you feel  when your body is burning off fat". haha Makes me kind of look forward to them! I had gotten where I was never allowing myself to get to the point of feeling actually hungry before which is NOT good!  Whatever it takes to get you to where you have to be. Measure amounts and set meal times-for me they are KEY to success. Best of luck :)
