Good morning botts:

I was hoping to lose a lb. this morning, but I am 212 again.   I ate too much salt yesterday.  My rings are tight.  My biggest problem is portion size.  I eat too much of everything. I need to measure more.  I have a serving spoon that is 1/2 cup.  I need to focus as I fill my plate. I also like stuff with salt in it.  I don't use salt per say, but it is in all commercially prepared products: canned food, cheeses, seeds and nuts (unless salt free). Especially low fat and low sugar food. Also moving is difficult because I have a lot of aches and pains.  Tylenol helps.  I burn 10 calories per pound of me.  I weigh around 210 and eat around 2100 calories.  If I eat 250 calories less and exercise 250 calories more per day I will weigh 160 lbs eventually. Doesn't that sound simple?  I think I did that yesterday but it takes time and patience and consistency.

My food plan today:

B: Jimmy dean delight

S: 2 clementines and plain Greek yogurt

L: side salad with fat free dressing, beef stew

S: pineapple cheesecake sf/ff

D: beef stew

S: nut crunch protein bar

Exercise is more cleaning and decorating for Christmas.

Have a great day, Tri

I am a big salt eater unfortunately! But I know when I do have a meal that is high in sodium that I can not only expect to not see the scale go down the next day, but it will show a slight gain. It's only temporary, but still discouraging none the less. Are you really able to lose weight and be able to eat around 1800 calories a day? If you are, how lucky for you!! Wish I was able to, but the scale would not go down at all if I ate anymore than 1100 a day :/
