What's going on today?

Wow June first already!

Cold and rainy again here today, going from air conditioning to almost needing the furnace on. Mother Nature is crazy!

Had a busy weekend off work with family, but glad I got today off to catch up with some house work.

Sipping on a protein coffee, reading up here on OH.

Need to start getting more exercise in. I have been pretty good about getting my food on track and journaling. Now I need to move my butt more. Lost one pound in May. At least I did not gain.

Hope you all are having a good Monday!

Hi,

I'm very over the cold, rainy weather also, but I just keep thinking it's temporary. I've been off track since last week...eating my worries and frustrations as my 33 year old son has been in the hospital and having a difficult time. I have been traveling between seeing him and home (only 2 hr trip, but tiring), so my eating plans have suffered and I certainly haven't been getting enough water. He's better today, so I'm going to concentrate more on me and get better organized. I've done a lot of walking so that helps but I need to get back to regular exercise. I feel frustrated that I've let old habits take over, but I'll get back in control...I can do it.

Thanks for 'listening'.

Stay healthy everyone.

Glad your son is doing better. Hope he has a speedy recovery. Maintenance is difficult especially with added stressors.

We can do this!

Hugs and best wishes for you and your son.

I identified foods that are my comfort foods but are still relatively safe for me. I call them my. "crack foods"

That includes PB, peanuts, SF preserves, and diet soda.

I can eat pb jar in a few days... A spoon at a time. So normally i try not to have that in the house. Too much temptation.

But when in crisis.~  i get that (instead of worse choices like chips or pretzels or bread, candy). And allow myself to eat as much as i need.  Typically my small pouch limits how much i rwaly can eat, so even a few days of high stress do very little damage.

I think identifying your foods ~ the trigger foods, and a replacemt foods...may be best way to deal.

When i need crunch - pork rinds are great.
