J tube for me!

My GI says he has no other treatment options other than to place a feeding tube in me.  Yeah me, NOT!  Does anyone here have any experience or know anyone that has had one post RNY?  I am 13 years post op.  I am concerned also about what this will do to my weight.  The doctor says that I should actually lose since I have been in starvation mode for so long.  I'm just starting to do my own research.  I still haven't heard back from my bariatric doctor yet as to his opinion.  Any info would be appreciated!

Will you provide a little background info please.  Why do they think you need a FT?  Why do they think you have been in "starvation mode" for a long time?
