Breakfast suggestions

Not that I dislike my morning oat ritual, but I could use some suggestions for breakfasts. I'm open to anything except egg whites, they make me sick.

Hi there.  We get tired of the same ole thing.  Being on a restricted eating plan(notice I didn't use the "D" word!) can get boring.  I'm not a creative cook so I can easily get into a rut.  I hear you about breakfast.  The only thing that works for me is a protein shake.  I vary by adding fruit.  I don't do eggs either.  Icky!  Going out for breakfast is difficult.  Everything is either bread, pancake or eggs.

If you like yogurt Greek yogurt is a good breakfast  change of pace.

Thanks for sharing!

lately I've been doing plain greek yogurt with vanilla protein powder in it, some frozen blueberries and chia seed.

I will also have sautéed onions and peppers and eat them with either ground beef or chicken and a few splashes of hot sauce.

My favorite is cottage cheese and almonds.  I also eat greek yogurt.

I generally stick with eggs unless I am in the mood for something else.  I LOVE bacon but dont always feel like making a mess just for 2 slices.  I buy the oscar meyer real bacon bits, toss them (1 tbsp)in the pan to crisp them up.  while they are cooking i scramble my egg, add 1tbsp of what ever shredded cheese i have or want, pour in the egg and tada!  i get my bacon fix with little mess.

Sounds yummy to me. I recently discovered that there's a small farm not far from here selling free-range chicken eggs. (And very nice shea butter soap, too.) Just picked up a nice, *fresh* (as in this morning) dozen eggs for me and supported my community business at the same time. Gotta like that!

I've tried the bacon bits in the past, wasn't thrilled, but didn't try crisping them first. Gonna give them a second look!

I am in a farming community and am fortunate too to have a local egg farm.  I love it! When I get out of the car, the chickens come over to "say hi". Plus i too am  supporting local businesses (and as a small business owner I know how important that is), and not supporting the mass farming industry which is often times no so pleasant for the animals, sad to say.

Totally crisp them up before use.  It will make a world of difference!
