my back on track got a tiny bit off track tonight!

I have been SO back on track!  I have lost six of the ten pounds I want to lose and am feeling great.  I am realizing that if I keep my carbs very low and limited to only veggies/dairy and minimal fruit and stay with dense protein first before eating the veg I am SET.  I don't get hungry for no reason and I am not craving.  AND I got a new pair of skis and am spending as much time as humanly possible in the back country skiing and it is incredible exercise.  So all in all, amazing progress.  BUT tonight, tonight just got away from me. I have my period, the kids are driving me nuts and there was some carb creep and then more carb creep.  And then I was eating leftover chinese food.  Eek.  Not a total nightmare calorie wise but it is a slippery slop and I know it.  So, here I am, coming clean and saying for the record that I am right back to plan from this moment on.  I don't like how I feel when I eat like this.  I want to go back to what works and makes me feel sane.  It helps so much to have a place to go to get support.  Thanks everyone!

Congratulations on the weight you've lost and the great job you're doing. You've got this!

Love your post!  Your insight about the slippery slop is so true.  One of the main reasons to be on track is what you've pointed out about how you feel when you "carb creep" and being on track makes you feel sane.

Although I know all of that you said is so right on target, what you wrote is motivating to me.

Thanks for the support in your post.

Cathy
