Back On Track Together
Not making an ass out of myself as motivation
Nov 1st close enough to my husbands birthday is the zoozilla 5 k I'm going to do that one too. I should probably take it one at a time so I'm not registering for them yet but these are my goals. May 30th the color vibe... super stoked, November 1st The zoozilla.... can't wait, and Thanksgiving day the YMCA turkey trot. Just need one in Sept. Prefereably mid September to end of Sept. I'm going to be a runner again in no time and I can not wait. I'm so happy when I'm running, my body feels amazing, my mind feels amazing I FEEL AMAZING after running.
I'll do training with you!
I've signed up to do a half marathon on May 31st.
I had VSG 10/2010 and was 10 lbs away from reaching my goal but have gained about 30 lbs since then.
I had always been active but after the surgery I made a promise to myself to never stop working out and so far I've stuck to this. I ran my first half in 2012, and have done 4 altogether. the first 2 were amazing, but with the weight gain and feeling like a failure not to run as fast as I use to I gave up on myself and training and just "winged it" for the last 2.
This one on May 31st I am planning on making it my "comeback" to running.
they may be different distances but the mental game is the same :)
You will never be made to look like a fool if your heart and head is in it, no one can ever take that away from you.
Congrats on taking this step!!
I'm all set for tomorrow. Bought my shoes today and my wireless MP3 player should be here Monday. So excited to get this ball rolling. Took everything in me not to attempt the icy roads today. Lol. tomorrow will be better for jogging because it's supposed to be in the 40"s so no more snow. :D I'm going to set a schedule that I'm running at 5 am so that when I start working I am used to doing it before work. Wish me luck here I go.
