A bit frustrated

So I went out to eat yesterday and planned ahead and did fine.  I had 814 calories for the day whi*****lude 78  grams protein  and 23 grams of  carbs. So today I weighed in as I have been keeping my carbs under 20 to lose the regain and I gained a pound since yesterday.  I am not one to bounce up and down.  when I am losing I am either losing or staying the same.  My point is not just to complain, but to figure out what I did wrong.  My food is clean I didn't eat anything I wasn't suppose to. The restaurant always accommodates my numerous requests with how to cook the food.  Is my weight so fragile that I can't go 5 grams over in carbs without a gain?  Just feeling really frustrated, but I will get over it.

814 calories seems low.  Are you eating enough?  Just wondering because starvation mode can set in from not eating enough so our bodies hold on to what we eat.

I don't think you did a single thing wrong.  Scales don't show if it is water retention (eating at a restaurant, possibly higher sodium food?) or some body fluctuation.

Are you feeling better today?

Cathy

My calories have been at around 800 a day sometimes a little less.  This is what I need to do to lose.  I maintain on about 1,100.  I always have the restaurant not use salt as I have to follow a strict low sodium diet of no more than 750 mg a day.  I also take a diuretic each morning, so I don't think it is water wait.  Jumped on the scale today to see if it was gone, but it is still there.  I will stay off the scale for the week so as not to drive myself crazy.  I am doing very low carb under 20 grams a day.  in an effort to lose the rest of the regain.  I yelled at the scale today and feel better. It does not reflect the hard work I am doing, but I know I am doing very well with my food.  Thanks for asking.
