Watcha doing, eating Friday !!

Today, I head south to Lubbock for a 3-day conference for TAFE  (Texas  Association of Future Educators).  I will be attending with another sponsor and 6 high school girls !   Pray for me !!  Food choices will be limited and fast........if I don't post until next week, this is why, although I want to be accountable and by posting, it helps me stay on track......

I weighed today and my weight stayed the same........😩....

my plans for today........water started.....brought several bottles with me for trip (3- hour drive) plus some water enhancers.......I am awful about old habit of getting something bad at convenience stores

vitamins packed and morning ones taken........I know I will get plenty of walking in trying to stay up with my students....

planned eats.......we will see if I stick to them.....

breakfast......coffee/protein

lunch............turkey sandwich

snack............am taking an apple

dinner............we are eating at a Rec Center/ bowling facility.......I will try to stay on track !!

I hope everybody has a great, healthy eating day !   I plan to !!

Ugh - woke up to a .5lb gain - and today is 18 months post op. My plan is to workout - make sure I get my 12k steps on my Fitbit, eat clean, drink tons of water, journal and meditate. I am learning to use positive self talk so I don't sabotage my efforts.
My concern is my grandson's pizza birthday party tonight - I absolutely LOVE pizza, so my plan is to eat my protein before I go, and eat a salad while everyone else is eating their pizza.
B - boca veggie patty and steamed zuchinni
L - Tuna salad
S - Quest bar
D - leftover halibut or trip tip with a green veggie, then salad at the pizza party
S - Quest bar
I am actually trying to reduce my snacks and watch for head hunger creeping in.
I'm doing a color match with a Jane Iredale makeup rep today - I'm super excited - I love feeling pampered and pretty!!

just a note: 

I dump on quest bars, they raise my BS level very high. The "so called fiber" - my body has no problem turning into pure sugars... I know I am not the only one.. there are more and more people *****port the same things.. 

I used to love them and eat them.. as I was putting on weight and get RH...and could not understand what was going on... my cravings were out or control... so please be aware of that - since you seams to eat2 of them a day...if you can - try to measure your BS15 min after you eat the bar... 

They claim net 3 carbs - so that should maybe raise your base BS from app 80 to  95.. or so..I saw my BS spiked from 85 to 190 and higher... . after eating one bar.... no wonder I was crashing soon after....

Happy Friday the 13th!!

 

B - strawberry yogurt with vanilla protein powder and tbls PB2... tasted like a dessert!

S - had some popcorn... trying to avoid frosted butter cookies someone brought to work.

L - chicken, roasted butternut squash, avocado, cheese

D - homemade chicken soup

S - nuts or yogurt

How rewarding it must be to take the high school girls to the conference.  Your support of them and attending the conference will be great for them.  My prayers and BOT thoughts will be with you.  

I try to avoid convenience stores too.  It sounds silly to some people but all the junk, snacky sugary stuff there is like a landmine to me.  It sure sounds like you're planning ahead.

I went for PT last night for my bionic knee.  For the long-term, I know I'll be glad for my PT.  I really like my trainer but the exercises are sore and draining.  He told me in the past seven years that he's had only 7-10 patients that have been able to do the advanced difficulty exercises that I'm doing.  That makes me feel great for the longevitity of my knee so I don't have to get another one.  Supposedly they are good for 10-15 years which means I'll need to have another total knee surgery....no thanks!  

My eats for today:

B - 2 cups of coffee w/cream and Splenda

L - Turkey Meatloaf with salsa (the last leftover!)

D - Pork Tenderloins with green beans

S - Apple with 1 T. of peanut butter

S - 1 graham cracker with 1 T. of peanut butter

Exhausted.  I think it is the cold weather taking all my energy to stay warm.

Hi all,  good day so far.  Head in the game and feeling mentally healthy.

d protein shake.  going to the movie.  hubby will have popcorn with the 'butter?'.  I'll have a handful and hopefully thats all.  Thinking if I bring a protein shake I won't be so interested in the popcorn.

s sf jello protein shake if needed
