Ugh - Rewarding myself with foods

So of course probably similar to a lot of people I tend to reward myself with foods, part of it is the concept of not totally depriving myself with things and part of it is just being able to justify what I want.

Had to run to the store last night for fruits & veggies before a winter storm came in, and ended up treating myself to a donut as a reward for 3 great days back on track.

Now I was honest and logged it in my food journal, told hubby (so I was verbalizing out loud) and now here is my other confession.  Must think of another way to reward self..........  :)

STOP!

If I don't have it in the house I force myself to eat healthy.  YOU CAN DO IT!

Very true! I used to eat 4 donuts on the way home after grocery shopping pre-surgery. That was my "treat" for having to shop. I have had to remove peanut butter recently, yes, it is good for protein but not when I put it on 3 inches thick on bread, and also removed bread from our home.
