I am new to the group so I should probably introduce myself. I should probably do that in another post. So, I'll just post goals here.

I'm starting over, again. I am 4 years out of a VSG and sadly have gained most of my weight back. I have been in therapy the past year and a half with a therapist that specializes in eating disorders. I am still working on major junk but it has been transforming so far. Long way to go.

My goals for October:

1. Start exercising (this year has been challenging because I had knee repair on torn meniscus, then found out both feet had osteo-arthritis and I am now in shoe supports. My left foot had tendonitis in it, then my right foot had a stress fracture and I was in a boot for 4 weeks.) Needless to say....frustrating year for exercise when last year I was doing circuit training bootcamp 3x a week. *sigh*.

2. Eating back on track. My tool still works really great and I enjoy eating a more whole food diet. I ate Paleo for a while and while I don't eat entirely paleo, I limit my grains quite a bit. I eat good food, good protein. Sugar and processed carbs are not my friend (are they anybody's) and when they are out of my system I just stay on track so much better.

3. Find a support group meeting to attend - I am giving this one last shot on my own before considering a revision to the DS. So, I'm going as comprehensive as possible and that means finding a support group meeting. Whether it be OA, CR (Celebrate Recovery) or find one from the Bariatric Center my goal is to find a group that i click with and attend regularly.

4. Bring in family and friends for continued support and encouragement. - again, this is my last shot at this and it takes a village. I have a tool that helps, I need people in my life that support me also and hold me lovingly accountable. I may even blog about my experience once I get going. Join a challenge or group just for more accountability and support. Anything to keep me going.

I think that's a lot to do in a month. My therapist just had a baby so she is out until Thanksgiving so I might be on here a lot. lol. Looking forward to the support!!!!
