Monday cafe and cardio..
Good morning BOTTers. We had really bad rain and storm on Saturday night. I slept through it. One thing that is working for me is my sleep. I can sleep.
We did not have TV on all weekend so I did not know how bad it was in my area. There were a lot of floods and roads washed out (with cars on them) , houses with water up to 5 feet high... Ouch. I know that my driveway was covered in mud and my normal drain in my yard was covered with 2-3" of mud I had to clear. But - on a good note - the rain may help my new grass... Will see...
Today I see my PCP - the doc who told me 3 months ago that my weight put me in obese category. That was a wake up call for me together with my back problem. I know today visit will be good since I lost 15 lbs from that high weight. He is a very supportive doc and runs all tests I need plus I can get my meds as needed. So I did my part. Plus I started regular exercise - yoga.
Eats today:
Coffee + Miralax (x 2)
Green tea, water..
L: sausage and veggies, or chicken..with veggies..
D: wish I knew - but I may try salmon burger and some cucumbers, or some other foods

I'm about to freeze to death today. My little weather app says it's 85 outside and 75 inside but YIKES!! I don't like being cold. Now that I've finished my physical therapy for my knees, I've been floundering as to what I want to do exercise wise. I'm walking more but I want something more. So I've got a 5:30 appointment this afternoon with a personal trainer. I'm planning 3 days of strength training a week and 30 minutes of cardio daily. See if I can't get myself completely back on track.
I'm thinking about giving up coffee....at least on weekdays. I've become way to dependant on the miracle elixir. Other than that life is good.

wow... giving up coffee on weekends will not be my idea of fun.. I love coffee... I may consider giving it up for work days.. (consider... nope, still like it)
As for personal trainer... unless it is a gentle yoga teacher.. I don't like to be pushed.. Tried that a couple of few times.. and unless it was a woman -who helped me with my workout (making sure i did it correctly) I just could imagine doing it.. Good for you.. please come back and report after...

I couldn't give up coffee either.... I'm am trying to cut down and then out, the artificial sweetener. I may not like coffee as much then.
re: the personal trainer .. Have one ( by default...signed up for a class and my sister and I were the only two who signed up, so we are splitting the cost!), but I only see her once a week. She is really great about making sure we are doing things right and I will ask a LOT of questions, esp. If anything hurts.
I use stevia in my coffee. I use liquid stevia mixed with vanilla.. nice..

Struggling to post.....my world has been weird.......remodeling kitchen and a bath plus losing a toenail plus moving my classroom and having to move it back.....plus four different drs. appointment this past week.......I hope when school gets back in session...my schedule will straighten up so that I have the discipline to post. 😛
my eats for today....vits taken.
breakfast.......coffee/miralax, antibiotic for infected toe.....went to school and worked through lunch...my room is almost ready.....😳
lunch..........red beans and cornbread.....fried potatoes. I measured them !
dinner.........protein shake......my tummy is a little tender lately
