Back On Track Together

Day 1 of 30.....

This is my first time posting since joining the group a few weeks back. Next month I will celebrate my 4th year sleeveiversay. These 4 years have flown by and just recently I had the dreaded rebound weight gain which lead me to joing this group. 10 pounds was my limit to regain and that is where I am sitting. During the 4 years my lowest weight acheived was 150 pounds but that was due to illness and I knew that I would gain that back as soon as I started eating which I did. My normal weight is usually 160 and I feel good there.

So today is my first day back to basic. I allowed carbs back into my life and I contribute that to my weight gain. Today it back to protein and veggies. Gonna get my protein levels back up to 80-100 range and carbs under 30 but by natural means, no sugars, starches, fruits or junk food allowed. I need to regain control and use the tool I have been given. I still have good restriction and I'm thankful for that. I just need to wrap my head around what it is I need to do and start doing. I'm commiting to this change for the next 30 days. Then I'll set another small goal to acheive.

All well wishes are welcomed as well as encouragment. I'm half way through day one and it's going ok. One day at a time one foot infront of the other, I 'll make it to my 30 days. :)

Best of luck, Keelan.  I'm almost two yrs out from rny, and have put 15 back on.  I am going to lose my regain or else...also gave let too many carbs back in and suffer with R.H. if I eat too many at once.  Happened yesterday, in fact.  I like the idea of a 30- day challenge!

Thanks ladies.

Day 1 of 30 is coming to a close and I have managed to get in 94g of protein and only 5g of carbs. I ate healthier than I have in months and I feel more energized than I have in that time frame as well. The higher carbs make me feel low and bloated.

Keep it up. You will feel so good about yourself. You are doing superb! 15 days is fantastic. One meal at a time. Simple carbs and junk food make us feel rotten...try to keep that in mind. I am by no means perfect but I try to keep my weight within 5 lbs from goal. My lowest weight was 126 on a 5'6 frame. I looked like I was living in a concentration camp. I fluctuate between 135 and 140 now and I feel great. Weigh yourself often, every day if possible. Don't get disgusted with yourself...that's sure to make you sabotage your efforts even more...we play head games with ourselves all the time, at least I would and sometimes let that happy horse **** creep into my brain when I eat something that I know isn't good for me. I try to move on and forget about it. If you fall off the horse drawn wagon, jump back on right away or it will be harder to chase it down.
