Hi my name is Rockie I just joined the group in search or support and encouragement I had my surgery in 2003 my lowest weight was 145 I am now back up to 293 I just wasn't ready to have the surgery at the time I had it. I am now at a cross roads I have chiari malformation and they will not do my surgery to correct it till my bmi is at 30 which wld put me down to 160 - 165 my neurosurgeon has suggested I have weight loss surgery again I'm scared.. My symptoms from my chiari are getting worse.. Has anyone had the surgery twice or heard of it being done again. I think I would be ready this time any input would be appreciated

Have you talked to your surgeon about this?  Your gastric bypass surgeon. That is where I would turn first. Usually revisions are not done unless you have tried the avenues of following the dietary guidelines of your surgery first.

I have recently submitted all my paper work I havnt been to a bariatric surgeon yet I'm waiting on an appointment I moved abt 4years ago and can't go to the surgeon who did my first surgery. I have other avenues supervised medical weight loss diet and excersise I'm at a loss here my PCP thinks that's the best route
