Thursday cafe and cardio- counting calories...
Good morning everyone!
Nice and sunny in SC. And hot! Now we complain about the heat for a change..lol .
Yesterday I was very busy, and I had a small pouch day. I ate salmon and some veggies, some chocolate, protein cookies, and finished the day with a protein mash...( I did not meet my absolute min goal of proteins for the day so LNS was "protein mash" instead of nuts..)
How much we think we eat can be very misleading: (underestimating calorie intake)
What surprised me was that at the end of the day -when I put my food in MFP not only I met my min of 60 gr proteins (normal goal is 90-100) but I also exceeded my calorie's goal (1100) intake by 55 calories. On a day that I was sure I only had 600-700 cal....
When I am in maintenance - and not losing or gaining - as long as I get enough proteins - it really does not matter if I had 800 or 3000 calories. But when I am trying to lose or gain - I need to write it down.
Today eats:
Coffee + Miralax (need to double that today..ugh)
Going out for lunch - probably some proteins
Protein shake, protein cookies
Nuts?
Protein shake after yoga
Dinner: not sure... Depends how my eating is going to be today.
Exercise: Plan on going to yoga.
Protein mash: when I try to get max amount of proteins in an easy to digest form - something that would stay in a pouch longer than a shake: I take 4 oz coconut or almond milk + 1tbs of nut butter or avocado+ full scoop of protein powder and blend it all very well. I get thick- cream like consistency - small portion that has at least 20gr of proteins- 10 gr of fat and 4-10 gr of carbs. That is my protein emergency LNS that will get absorbed slowly overnight and will not cause acid stomach - pouch while "sitting" inside my guts.

I need pp 250-300 cal for my LNS. But that lasts me until the next day around noon.
coconut milk (unsweetened) -20cal
protein powder: 120
nut butter (natural NSA) : 100
total: 250...
I used to be able to do that with Greek yogurt instead of unsweetened coconut milk -0 but since finding out that I have allergy to dairy (all of it, even the butter) I do that with unsweetened coconut milk. Some day I may throw in some (1/2 cup) frozen berries for a change of taste, or scoop than on on plate, sprinkle sliced almonds or pine nuts, and drizzle some 0 cal (all natural) chocolate syrup.

I have been out of town all day.....eye drs appointments in Amarillo for me and my hubby.....his takes awhile because he has to see a specialist for glaucoma. Left the house around 8 this morning.....got home about 7 tonight.
Long day...... Amarillo is about an hour away, so when we go, we shop.......we went to Sam's and blew the budget plus we went to several stone work type places to look at granite for our kitchen and baths. We had looked at home improvement stores a couple of times and then decided to go to a place that only does countertops, etc.
The granite and installation at these places (we went to three) is ALOT cheaper than big box stores !! So, by mid September, we will have granite installed !! I never dreamed that we would get granite cheaper than Formica !!! I am excited !! Can you tell ??
my food intake wasn't good today...took my vits....
breakfast....coffee/miralax and a Spanish 2-egg omelet and a biscuit ( we ate on the way )
lunch..........uh-oh......Burger King !! About 750 calories worth !!! Nuff said !!
dinner........ We haven't had dinner since lunch was so late.....I may just drink some protein coffee and call it good....

Trying to get back on track, gave up my wine 2 days now :(
B- coffee, 1 egg on fiber one english muffin
L- boars head everoast chicken and cheese on a small whole wheat tortilla with mustard
D- roast chicken and salad
S- SF rice pudding with whip cream
I feel like I eat more then you guys but I am trying. My normal snack would have been kettle chips and sangria!
