Good morning botts

I hope everyone had a safe 4th weekend.  We didn't go anywhere but it was nice having my husband home.  I did get a ton of yard work done, but there is plenty more to do. I just came in from 1 1/2 hours trimming my trumpet vine which is supposed to grow over an arbor.  It seems to take over a lot more of the garden than it is supposed to have.  Now that it is under control I can continue weeding that area of the yard for 30 more minutes. Have a great day everyone.  Tri

By the way... the Veggetti is $14.99 at Bed Bath and Beyond. They frequently mail $5 or 20% off coupons.

Happy MONDAY!! You know it's bad when I can't wait to get back to work. Between a Hurricane, Wedding Anniversary, out of town company and the kiddo all crammed into one weekend, I need a vacation. Oh and the scales are up a pound from last week which can probably be attributed to way too many pina coladas Saturday night. Ughhhh....I still have a mild hangover.

Today will be a better day:

commute: coffee

Breakfast: Sausage mcmuffin (1/2)

Lunch: Frozen entree & salad

snack: Greek yogurt & nuts

Dinner: Fish Tacos

Exercise is going to be the full range of physical therapy exercises and a long walk after dinner. I've got a tall glass of water waiting on my desk. Vitamins for the morning are taken care of.

Yall have a great day!!!!

- Iris

I've never been in a hurricane.  In Wisconsin we have tornadoes.  I am glad you are ok.  That's worth a few pina coladas to take the edge off a storm.  take care, Tri

Happy Anniversary, Iris!

Glad to hear you survived Arthur unscathed...thought you might've headed to your son's home in the mountains.  We didn't get much impact here except for wind, rain and our immediate area was under tornado warnings.  My mom called me at 1 a.m (can't believe I was actually sleeping at that time as that is my peak night time tv hr) and told me that Norfolk and Virginia Beach were under "imminent tornado warnings".  My cell phone had a message saying the same and to seek immediate shelter, so I woke up my granddaughter who was staying over, and we went downstairs.  I have pine trees in my yard that are twice the height of my 2 story home, so I scrambled downstairs as fast as I could.

They were tracking the weather pattern neighborhood by neighborhood, and, fortunately, we were all spared an actual tornado formation.  They was some minor wind damage here and there.  I got a little chuckle out of it all when my mom told me she was calling me from the floor of her hall closet where she holed up with some chicken she had just fried (she's a night owl too) and a diet Pepsi!  She wanted to eat it while it was hot out of the pan, and not even hurricane Arthur was going to stop her

Now I just have to keep my prayers going for the Super Typhoon headed towards Japan because my son is stationed there, but he's on deployment right now, so he may still be out to sea (hopefully out of harm's way).

Hi H.a.l.a.!!  It had been quite some time, but I posted several days ago.  I've been very busy in various aspects of my life, but losing my regain kept me focused on winning all of my battles.  I'm working on another weight loss goal at the moment.  I'd like to get down to 145 with a 5 lb cushion.  I'm at 160 and taking it slowly.

The back is still the same, and I can't have surgery at all now due to the osteoporosis.  I also cannot return to my nursing job.  Alas, I am needed by my granddaughters, so I have been keeping very busy with them.  I am here daily, but spend most of my time on MFP.  Good to "talk" to you again, and congrats on your recent losses!  Hugs back atcha
