My new scales are awesome and while not as large of a loss as I'd like to see at this point, I am down 2 lbs for the month of June. Even at a slow pace that will equal up to 24 lbs in the next year. I can do that. The knees are starting to cooperate and walking is becoming less painful - I'll certainly take that.
The new "sippy" cup (Hot pink quart size insulated mason jar looking contraption) is making my water intake a whole lot easier. It's definetly visible and a "gentle" reminder that I need to empty it at least twice daily. I've ended up getting a second one. One stays on my desk at work and the other stays at home. It's working wonderfully.
Hope all is well with everyone else.

Hi Iris... Good to see your knees are getting better...
my goals:
weight loss - on schedule - lost 10 lbs 10-12 more to go..
Exercise- not so much... I also lost my fitbit - and I am not sure I want to replace it. I am waiting for the newer Fitbit force.. will see
Water - hydration - doing good to great here.. and if i forget - my muscles twitching reminds me to do it.
My clothes start fitting much better, and suddenly I have too many clothes... I do need to stop shopping..

Iris, Glad your new sippy cup is helping......I have several so that I always have water close by......works for me.
2 lbs is 2 lbs.....congrats ! I haven't been home enough to weigh. But I am concentrating on my eating, so we will see. I am also moving more than I did the first 2 weeks of summer because of housework, and chasing 3 other Grandkids !! I am still not moving enough, and I left my fitbit at home because it only syncs with my home computer...and I knew I wouldn't walk on a regular schedule.
H.a.l.a. That sucks that you lost yours, but I can totally see how that can happen...I have had mine fall off on numerous occasions. I think I want the Fitbit One.....I will research the Force.
my challenge was to lose 15 lbs. I am not sure I have lost any, but the summer is still young ! 😉
take care and stay in touch .......we can do this !!
I possibly lost a 1/2 lb. That is good enough for me...I really eat too much, but I am trying. Great food ideas this past week: thanks to Hala's veggetti. I think I am saving calories and craving less by using shredded zucchini rather than spaghetti noodles (even whole wheat ones). The 35 calorie low carb bread is also a great help. I also use a 64 oz. pitcher that I keep in the refrigerator. My husband has a huge mason jar sippy cup. He doesn't use it because it doesn't fit in his car holder. I may borrow that and try that tomorrow. Good luck to everyone this week. It is helpful logging food (even on the bad days). Tri
Started with a trainer 2 months ago. Go once a week to personal session and try to walk at home or go to a workout class once a week. Down 3lbs. I am feeling stronger if the pounds haven't really come off yet but 3 lbs is 3 lbs. Water intake is going up. I can always drink more water in the hot days of summer. Still 11 years post op I am an emotional eater. Some things never change. Just need to be vigilant. Glad to get back on here again.
