It was a rough weekend eating wise, we had a big bbq at our place but today is a new day and I'm not going to dwell on it!

Going to gym to do bike and weights

He may win some battles but I'm determined to win the war! Was
helping my sister out for a few days who had some minor surgery
and didn't do well. My own fault, I didn't plan well and made some
bad choices but that's in the past moving on.
Todays eats:
B-greek yogurt with almonds and drizzle honey
S-protein shake
S- turkey breast with spicy mustard
L-cottage cheese, hot pepper cheese, bacon & veggie quiche w/salsa
and sour cream
S(s)protein shake and turkey breast with hot mustard
D- steak, broccoli with cheese and salad w/raspberries, almonds
and lite raspberry walnut vinagrette
Got to get my pills, water and exercise in yet, better get started
on that

It's a new day indeed. Every Monday I seem to have the same question...what happened to my weekend?
My new scales should be waiting for me at the post office this evening. My old ones just decided to give up. I"ll admit it's been nice in one way that they weren't there to step on every morning BUT with all the emotional stuff that's been going on in the neighborhood I really miss the extra accountability.
Today's eats are:
commute: coffee
Breakfast: 1/2 muffin (picked it up without thinking then tossed it when I realized)
snack: cheese stick & handful of mixed nuts
Lunch: Homemade chicken salad in lettuce wraps
snack: Greek Yogurt
Dinner: Homemade Pork BBQ & coleslaw
Exercise today is the full PT regiment. I was kinda slack this weekend. The knee was feeling better and it was rainy so I gave myself the weekend off. I did some light cleaning and got my front porch furniture reconfigured so I could make better use of the space. I enjoyed every minute of it. Saturday I had 3 different sets of neighbors stop by and hang out for at least a half an hour. It was wonderful. We're all still reeling from the loss of our neighborhood teenager. The first of 2 memorial services was yesterday. It was hard but we all made it through it some sort of way. I'm thinking we'll all be spending lots of time on our front porches this summer wathcing the kids grow up.

I had MRI this morning and it took forever. It was supposed to be at 9:00 ..by the time they were done it was noon.
Against the orders I had my morning coffee ( just one - black) and I am glad I did ...Without coffee I am not good to anyone... I had my second double espresso with me.. and as soon as they released me I had it .. plus friendly nurse took me to the lunge where I could refill my travel mug. Yea..
Today eat are simple:
coffee + Miralax
IV with contrast (he he he)
Coffee + coffee..
1 oz cashews
proteins shake
lemon water
meat and veggies - maybe - I had to catch a flight to FL tonight so I may take it easy.. Got chicken breast and veggies ...and a sinful 6 oz glass of chardonnay...
on a plane: water and protein cookies, prosciutto chips.
Exercise: running around.. changing planes, etc..
Edited to change foods. So tired now. Still another 3-4 hrs before I can relax. Ugh

I wish... Lol.. When they put the contrast in I could taste it and smell it. Weird. Did not like it at all. By the time ethey were done with me I really had enough - laying still for 45 min with my arms above my head was way too much for me.

Being away from home makes for tough eating choices.......doing ok but not great.......
breakfast today was pancakes, coffee/miralax
snack................grapes
lunch..................grilled cheese sandwich with some tomato soup to dip it in
snack..................more grapes ( I brought them with me and I just ate the last ones)
dinner..................daughter in law is cooking roast, potatoes, and carrots
granddaughter baked a dump cake for dessert !!!!
tomorrow we are heading home for a couple of days (if the new Grandbaby doesn't come.) On Thursday we are heading to Midland.......daughter in law is to be induced Friday morning.
we are all in this together ! We can lose our regain !!!
