Wednesday - Cardio & Cafe

Good morning Botts!!! It's looking to be a gorgeous summer day here in Northeastern NC. Those bitter cold days from this winter are quickly fading from memory (Thank the Lord). I'm starting to hear griping about the heat and humidity. Oh how quickly we forget.

Today I have a plan and it feels great.

Commute: Coffee

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs

Lunch: Frozen Weigh****chers meal

snack: Greek Yogurt

Dinner: BBQ chicken breast & squash

Late Night Snack: Handful of smoked almonds

I started my morning with decaf tea before I ever left home. Now I've got my big insulated mason jar cup full of ice water on my desk. I CAN DO THIS!! Exercise is going to be a beast afterwork today ----10 acres of grass to mow and all the trim work that goes along with that. I've got some limbs to clear in one area before Skinny man can get the tractor in to bush hog. It's going to be a busy evening. Hoping that thunderstorms don't roll in until we finish.

Yall have a great day!

Hi All,

Walked around the block once and plan to do it at least once more today. If I try to walk 20 minutes or more at a time I'm not worth
much the rest of the day so I'm working up to it. Met with NP
yesterday and found out I've gained 18 lbs. in a year and my Vit. D
and iron are way low. No wonder I've been feeling like crap. Also
just found out my surgeon who was awesome, so kind and caring has decided to retire to take care of his own health. Good luck to him
but I am going to miss him as I'm sure all his patients are.

So, in order to get the 18 lbs plust about 90 more off here is my
plan.
1. journaling everyday
2. taking my vitamins and calcium
3. drinking water
4. 5-6 planned smaller meals, small bites and slowing down
5. at least 70 g protein, less than 35 g fat and less than 130g carb
6. and getting exercise in working up to 30 minutes a day

todays eats:

breakfast-lite and fit greek yogurt

mid morning-2 eggs, oz cheddar, 1/4 cup onion abd T salsa

lunch- 3 oz chicken breast, 1/3 c brown rice & 1/4 c peppers and onions

dinner- BLT- 2 slices Sarah Lee whole wheat, 4 strips bacon, lettuce, tomato and T miracle whip plus steamed zucchini

snack-apple and 2 oz cheddar

Take care,
Edie

Looks good eddie..

You sure you can get the iron up with just pills?  I know that I need infusions. Pills do nothing for me..

BTW: you sure the 130 gr of carbs are not going to be issue for you ?  That would be way too many for me.. I can't eat that much even if I maintain.  My max in maintenance is 60-100, with at least 20-30 gr of fiber per day..

my numbers while maintaining are: 100 prot + 50-60 fat+ 60-100 carbs

Hi Hala,

I was thinking 130 as a lot too. I think I'm gonna aim for 80-100 a day and see how that works. If I figured right I had 90-100 today, going grocery shopping tomorrow to get some lower carb choices.

I figure I'll give it a week and go from there.

It is really hot here today.  I got new chair for me at work. a mesh type chair.  That was my workout - put the chair together..

My scale is still mean to me.. last week I saw under 170.. this week - over 170.. it is so frustrating.

It is the breaking point...

New vegan protein shakes arrived and now I have 4 different types that I can drink... 3 are really nice, and the 4th one is OK.  (I also have 4 more that no -way I will drink that, but I can use in my baking ) It is getting easier to get my proteins again. (too many "dense proteins" with my IBS= cramps and pain - and yogurt and cheeses are out due to allergies..)

eats today:

coffee + coffee, Miralax; green tea

protein shake

Cucumber salad, 1/2 avocado, beef hot dog and homemade wrap.

Protein shake, jello

Egg frittata with turkey meat, greens

LNS; nuts

Hi everyone.
I woke up to a cup of coffee.

2 scrambled eggs and a scoop of FF beans... (Sorry I am Mexican) LOL!

for Lunch: I had a drop off and picked up a chicken salad from El Pollo Loco. Fresh rotisserie chicken.

Do you guys think that this is TOO MUCH FOOD for me? It's healthy.
Feedback please.

Depends how much of the the salad you had and how much dressing on it.

"salads" are healthy - as long as you control the dressing - how much, and what type.

Other than that- looks very good.  (I always get dressing on a side and then only use very little)

It was a good healthy salad. The dress was the low calorie Cilantro one and I used very little.

Workout in 2 hours. T25 and treadmill.

Then you probably need some nice dinner...

Great job..

Logging every day helps me Visualize the food... Most days I do modify my eating... but try to stay within the calories - proteins + fat + carbs.
