Morning Botts,
It' kind of muggy here in PA but it looks like the sun's trying to peak out.
Yesterday went pretty good as my first day on track. I did get hungry and ate a second snack of eggs, cheese and salsa. I am so hungry todaytoo but am sticking with it, I think my body is just used to all the junkI was eating and it may take a few days to get used to lower carb.

My plan is:

B. cottage cheese casserole with salsa and sour cream

coffee w/ffhh and wate

L. tuna salad on sandwich thin with melted cheese

decaf tea and coffee w/ffhh

D. not sure yet, going to my sister's for dinner

coffee and water

snack. scrambled egg and cheese if I have one.

Have a great day all!

Hi Edie and botts

We have perfect weather in WI today (sunny, breezy and 70 degrees) ...so it should reach PA by tomorrow.  Clean the upstairs and do a load of laundry, 2 1/2 hour rehearsal and garden for exercise today.  Have a great day.  Tri

It's a beuatiful day here in Northeastern North Carolina. We've been a little cool the past few days and I've loved opening the windows and letting the breeze blow through. Now the temps are climbing and it's in the mid 80's. I just need a lawn chair and a really good book.

I had a great visit with the Rheumatologist this morning following up on lab work and xrays. She's confirmed that it's Osteoarthritis with 2 bone spurs on my right knee cap. The knee caps are both out of place. The fix for that is lots and lots of physical therapy. I guess PT is going to be my secret weapon in losing 10 lbs over the challenge.  I've got a PT appointment in the morning. So I'm off to a good start.

Today is day #3 of the 30 day heart monitor and the dang thing is already getting on my nerves. No real issues other than a general annoyance. They want me to hit the record button when I have periods of "flutters". The thing is I don't know when I'm having them. I guess I could go eat a candy bar and give them some racing heart rates to record.  Other than those, I don't know exactly what they're talking about.

I am doing fine.  Weather - it's hot here for me.

I had appointment with my Hema doc and I am getting my irton infusions. My ferritin dropped from 86 in December to 23 in May. At that rate - I may be stable for 6 months or a couple of weeks.  So even though my other bloodc markers are very good, he ordered iron for me.  Getting first iron on Friday.  Then 3 more after 3 weeks since Friday.  (I have pancreas MRI on 23rd and I don't want anything to be iffy with the images.  I have already to many docs for now)

On weekend I ate some food that messed up my poor belly (I did not know soy was in the buger and veggies). Eating clean for a while now I forgot how that stuff messes me up. 😢

I am trying to take it easy. I found a couple vegan protein shakes that actually taste good, so I hope I can have a couple of shakes plus a couple of meals.  That should give my intestine some break.

Today  had coffee,  3 shakes, tea, plus some keemah and green beans. Cucumber+ avocado salad, and finished day with nut butter.

Time to get into bed.

it is an indian dish my friend makes for me:  ground meat + onions and spices + green peas.. so fragrant and easy on  my system.. the spices made it just barely hot-spicy, but use a lot good for us spices... Once in a while I drop 3-4 lbs of ground beef (or bison) and a few bags of frozen peas.  She showed me a few times how to do it - but mine never gets as good as hers is.. . (and since I am a good cook - that ****** me off... )

It is spelled kheema., or Kemah, or keema..
