Back again, but feeling done.

Hello, I started posting here in Oct. 2013 when I decided to get back on track. RNY done in 2005 and went from 270 down to 130 and levelled out at 150, That is until nursing school and nursing career (love it, but stressful) and now weigh 205. Usually I am so positive and determined, but now I feel helpless with my weight. When I did go back on track in Oct 2013 I lost some weight-15 pounds in about 2 months. Then gained back when I increased carbs some. Now I am up to 205 and I am done. I will not post anything else negative here because negativity is contagious and will bring one down and those that are back on track and doing well should stay positive. For me, my body is not budging. I walk every day and my body still gains. I made an appointment for Tuesday to see if a revision or anything may be done, because I am done. Boo.

Please don't feel badly.  Many of us have 40 lbs. to lose and some even more (like myself).  I hope your insurance will pay for a revision.  If not then it is diet and exercise.  200 calories more exercise and 200 calories less food.  Although you do exercise so maybe just less food.  How can you cut out 400 calories from your diet every day forever?  A Weight  Watcher leader once told me that their diet was teaching us the way to eat forever, not just to lose weight and to go off the diet.  It is a marathon not a sprint.  Many of us follow different diets for different reasons.  Many of us keep our food journal on line and some people just read our posts. I assure you that you are not alone and many people will read your post and identify with your situation.  I think that losing more than a pound a week is too difficult to continue over the long run.  As you go along please let us know what works well for you.  I am always open to suggestion.  Best of luck to you.  Tri

You need to do what you feel you need to do. Good luck.

Please remember revisions are really difficult and there are only a handfull of good docs who can do.  Please make sure you get one of the great surgeons when yoyu do.
