Back On Track Together
Hump Day
yeah? Short weeks always translate to chaotic weeks at work. So far it's going fairly well, but I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. (I'm normally very optimistic) The kiddo has finished his first year of Early College Highschool. He was up at regular time this morning asking what needed to be done today. He is a GREAT kid!!
Hala - 2 of my best friends have Celiac Disease and they've both given me a ton of reading materials on going gluten free to see if it will help the arthritis. My plan is June 1st for a month to see if it makes a difference in how I feel.
It's about time to put down this cup of coffee and pick up either water or decaf tea. Morning vitamins are in. Planning on heading to the pool after work to rehad this knee some more. It takes me almost an hour to get all the reps in that the PT girls have given me. I didn't think it was possible to work up a sweat in the water but it is. I didn't get there last week because of company and everything that we had going on and I honestly missed it. hmmmmm.....not sure what that means.
Yall have a great day!!

Great, Iris - watch for hidden gluten in foods when eating out. I learned to avoid any burgers, meatballs, meatloaf and sauces. In restaurants I ask for gluten free menu - you would be surprised how many dishes were eliminated.. Soy sauce - is also made with wheat, so be careful with that...
Good luck. When I went gluten free - it me me a week or 2 before I saw real improvement.
Good luck.

Hidden gluten is everywhere. It takes me forever to read labels in the store. I have found gluten in Zataran's red beans and rice, but not in jambalaya. The same brand of toquitos have gluten in one variety and not in another variety. La Choy soy sauce is gluten free, but Kokomans has gluten. Salad dressing, soups, sauces, frozen potatoes...the list goes on and on. My husband has cilliac disease and is very sensitive so I read labels. PF Chengs and Olive garden both have gluten free menus. More and more pizza places have gluten free pizza. I bake rolls every week for him and carry them in my purse when we go out. He has to have endoscopies with biopsies and he is doing very well so it is worth it. Tri
Hi Botts:
My favorite exercise is swimming. I just do free one direction and breast stroke the other direction. Each of those uses different muscles so muscles groups rest every other length. Then there is cleaning and gardening. We had several out of town parties last weekend so I should clean the house top to bottom. Dog fur is constantly regenerated by my 100 lb. yellow lab...especially in the spring. After a week of not cleaning, vacuuming will be my exercise today. Perhaps I will go to the club to swim today as well. Tri
My eating plan today:
S: plain Greek yogurt and a grapefruit
L: crackers and chicken breast
D: dirty rice, grilled shrimp and salad
S: grapefruit, protein nut bar
B: omelet: egg beaters, ham, rf cheese, mini bagel
Dog Hair....I swear both of ours should be hairless as much hair as I've swept up in the past month alone. There's something about our hallway that just collects it. You'll walk through one time and there's nothing...20 minutes later and it looks like there are doggy tumbleweeds.
