Saturday- first day of long weekend..
It is going to be lovely day here in SC.
I have a lot of things to do today ...we will be busy.
But I plan to stay on top of my eating and making sure I drink enough.,
I think I irritated my pouch because I hurt when I start drinking coffee or tea.. And I have a horrible acid reflux. Today I will try to take is easy and just drink protein shakes. And coffee and tea. Vitamins are a must. I also plan to take antacid and carafate.
Some days you got to do what you got to do....
I may make a simple egg drop soup: heat the chicken stock (or any other stock), mix 2 eggs very well... When the stock is boiling, slowly pour the eggs into the hot liquid, stir. When it start boiling again -turn the heat off and take the pan from a stove. Top it with chopped fresh herbs (dill is my fav) . I like it little spicy so I also use fresh ground pepper. So yummy.
Soups are nor recommended for us - but for irritated pouch - something like that can help making sure we get enough proteins and minerals.
What is your day like? Remember - long weekend is not a good reason to get of the plan. I got heavy in the past because most of my good eating plans were going to start "tomorrow" or "Monday". This time - I start NOW. No delays. Yea, it is hard stick to the plan, but it us harder looking at myself in as mirror and not liking what I see. And looking at the number on the scale and not liking it.

Hugs back to you ! I am actually enjoying a nice drizzling rain, sitting on the deck drinking coffee and enjoying God's grace! It has not rained here in so long that this is wonderful !! Oh yeah, I am enjoying my hubby's company as well. 😉
My main problems with the weekends is not getting enough exercise. I tend to get really lazy and just chill. I need to really concentrate on exercise this summer because my summer is one long weekend ! Benefit of being a teacher.
I understand about staring a diet on Monday....crazy how we think that way.....TODAY is the day to start....every meal counts !
My morning vits have been taken, I have a 32 oz jug of water sitting beside me......so I am starting the day off ok.
........I always fix my hubby special breakfast on weekend mornings because he is retired and fends for himself on the weekdays because I am at work. And I do love to cook so I spoil him when I can and I always eat some of whatever I fix for him......
breakfast........coffee/miralax and two silver dollar pancakes and bacon. ( my splurge)
lunch.............turkey and veggies
dinner.............my son and family are coming for dinner and they have requested my chicken, broccoli, and rice, so I will limit my intake
I don't know about snacks...have some varieties of fresh fruit, but I am making biscuits to serve with strawberries and whipped cream for dessert tonight......I will play this by ear,,,,😀
