Well gang it looks like we've made it through yet another week. I'm not sure about yall but it's been a L  O  N  G  week.

My boy made it back home to his house in the mountains last night. I still hate to see him leave and of course he calls the mountains "home" now. There's no time to dwell on that though as Skinny Man's family will be coming in in waves over the next few days. First wave is due in this afternoon. Followed closely by more on Saturday and Sunday. They are so much fun. He's one of 8 children. I'm an only child. I love watching the whole sibling dynamic in the big family. One thing is for certain the next week will involve lots of great company, good food and laughter...lots and lots of laughter.

Drinking coffee and trying to get my thoughts together for the day ahead. Gotta get my plan/menu organized. I've taken the morning vitamins and meds and have a full water jug waiting for me.

Yall have a great day.

It sounds like you have a fun week ahead of you.  I am counting calories from after breakfast until tomorrows breakfast so that if I overeat at night I can skip breakfast.  A Weight  Watcher leader used to do that years ago.  I will continue cleaning out the last bedroom and basement today for exercise.  I will edit my food plan as necessary.  I had roasted rutabaga because a cup of cubes is only 66 calories and they taste like potatoes. Have a good weekend everyone.  Tri

I know you know what you doing , but looks linked you still have lots of carbs in you diet.

When I crave the tomato soup - I add small amount of cheese to it (I used to - not now - dairy allergy) plus I chopped some celery into it for a crunch. I don't care for celery - but surprisingly it tasted really good in tomato soup.   (Instead of crackers)

That must be why I love your family stories...I am an only child as well, so seeing family dynamics is interesting.  It used to drive me crazy when my 2 kids (3ish years apart),  used to argue/ battle all the time.  They love each other to pieces, but man, I just didn't understand why it was a constant thing.

Yay for the weekend....It's been a helluva week.  Today it's only 106 degrees here.  Only.  Ha.

B: hard boiled eggs

L: half of a Jack in the Box hamburger with ketchup and about 8 french fries

D:  fish and salad, probably

got the vits in, working on the water, exercise is limited....I'm just too beat from dealing with the heat.

Happy weekend, folks.

My boys are 15 months apart and I remember looking to their Daddy and pleading with him to make them stop the bickering. They are each others biggest defender and cheerleader but the minute it would be jus tthe 2 of them ...CHAOS. Thank God we all survived i****ching them together now as grown men is awesome. They both smoke and during the course of the week when we'd all be out on the deck together after dinner they have this way of communicating with one another that never required one single word to be spoken...from give me a cigarette, a lighter, an ashtray or whatever the need was.

I need lots and lots of peace and quiet. I crave it. Give me a book and send me to my room. That's what I do to everyone over the weekend when the kiddos start to go into "kill" mode. Maybe it's because this is 1 boy and 1 girl or maybe because my 2 were so much closer in age than Skinny Man's or maybe, just maybe it's because I was younger with mine. But these 2 go from ignoring each other to decibel levels higher than chainsaws in less than a heart beat. There's no bickering to clue you in to the war that's about to begin.

Linda, looks like your food is great.  If you continue like that you will be back to your comfortable weight in no time.
