Good morning gang!!!! I'm hoping that everyone is doing fabulous this morning.

My 1 day beach vacation with my boy yesterday was so good for my soul. There's something about that mega dose of Vitamin D and sal****er therapy that just leaves you feeling good from your head to your toes. I realized this morning that my positive attitude hasn't been quite so stellar the past few months ....Winter doom & gloom along with the knee pain had really wreaked havoc on my entire being. No more. This sunshine baby is recharged and ready to go. The knee? Well, she hasn't other plans and is really acting up today. I think walking in that soft sand yesterday may have torn it up. Somehow I managed to get just one leg sunburned from the shin down. I must have forgotten to reapply sunscreen to it. Very bizarre looking.

Getting lots of water in today. Morning vitamins are taken care of. Still got lots of stuff going on with the family for the rest of the week. We made a huge crockpot (2 pots actually) of mexican chicken and pork chops yesterday. Leftovers tonight!!! That means this chick doesn't have to cook. My son made a huge batch of fresh pico yesterday afternoon. Oh my word. I know it'll be even better tonight after it's had a chance to sit and mingle all day. We also made a creamy guacamole with avocadoes, garlic, onions, lime juice and fage yogurt....YUM!!!

It's a great day to be in northeastern North Carolina. Yall make the most of your day.

Glad to hear that you are rejuvenated !    We all need breaks and fun days from time to time.   I only have technically 9 more working days until summer !!!  We get out on May 30, but I have a couple of doctors appointments ( one for me, one for hubby) and we have a snow day that we get off.  Looking forward to a couple of months off !!

I am seeing an endocrinologist on the 21st because my blood work indicates that I am not absorbing vitamin D......and I am tired and achy all the time.....absolutely no energy and sleepy.  We will see what he says I need to do.

We made $1300 on our bake sale for the co-worker who lost her home in the Fritch, Texas wildfire.  We have another bake sale planned for tomorrow.   So glad to be helping her and her family.

my morning vits are in......water in progress

breakfast............jimmy dean delight breakfast muffin....won't buy those again !!  Coffee/miralax

snack..................two cookies from leftover bake sale items. 😳

lunch...................salmon patty and salad

snack...................apple

dinner..................roast and veggies (cooking in crock pot now).  Cold weather foods are still the norm here...the weather is still cool.......we had low 30's this morning and the high is only going to be low 60's.....this is May !!!!  Where is SPRING ??

snack..................??

have a great day !!

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

Will you hate me if I tell you that yesterday was low 90's? Today is upper 80's. The low temps on the five day forecast are the upper 70's this weekend. Once again we have skipped spring and gone directly to summer time.

Keep up posted on the Endocrinologist appt., a low D'er myself, I'm always interested.

What type of D and how much of  it you are taking a day?  Mostdoc have tendency to prescribe D2 in oil - 50,000 IU.

Alot of us who were D deficient - but are not anymore take dry D3 in capsule form 50,000 IU. My D is high to very high. 80-100..That is on 50,000 IU 2-3 times a week.

The D3 is the one the body need and uses. D2 needs to be converted.

I bought the dry D3 on Amazon.

That bottle has 100 caps, and cost me app $20 and last me 8-10 months.

My D-3 is in a gel capsule.......I am pretty sure the endocrinologist will change that.....I go see him on the 21st and we will see what needs to be done.  I will let all of you know what happens.  Thanks for responding .

Banana protein shakes have always been my favorite. Freeze that overripe banana and it seems to overpower the flavor of the protein powder. YUM!

I used the ON gold standard whey Vanilla ice cream flavor.. I can only have half of a banana because they will make me sick if I have more then that...but I love it with cinnamon in it... and plenty of crushed ice
