I am really on track last few days.  I had a few days that I tried to "rebel" and ate food that made me really sick.  I know better yet some days are harder than others..

I do need to lose 10 lbs in a month or else.,,.

I am finnaly off Lexapro, but the stress was getting to me.  I had days - on rebound from that-  when at the end of the day I did not like myself or my actions/words.

I started using tryptophan during the day... And that really makes a huge difference to me. I also cleaned my diet and try to eat every 2-3 hours, even a small snack, to keep my BS stable.

Giving up my wine is less difficult than I thought it would be.  So far so good.  Not able to have cheese or whey (dairy allergy) makes my diet rather challenging. Add severe soy allergy, and gluten intolerance plus my RNY with RH makes life interesting.....

I also crave more fresh foods - but since fruits are out - and most raw greans give me pain (IBS) I strarted making salad that I can eat, nice and cool spring salads.

Spring green salad - easy on the tummy:

Fresh cucumber (I use english- seedless, or mini cukes, peeled )

1/2 Avocado (or whole)

Fresh dill (lots of it)

Salt, pepper and apple cider vinegar.

Chop the veggies and dill. Mix with the rest. Eat.

As a variation I am adding chopped olives, or finally chopped pickles, some chopped red peppers, or even some cherry tomatoes (for a touch of color).  I typically make enough for 2 days or so.  For a serving as as meal - I may add cubed chicken and a 1tsp of mayonnaise.  Combinations are endless to get nice low carb meal.  I need fat in my diet to keep my BS stable.

Today eats:

Coffee with Miralax

Eggs with bacon, veggies

Protein cookies

L: not sure probably will grab something while we are out.

Cucumber salad with some burger or maybe fish?

Chocolate (home made - no dairy, soy - but with nuts)

Nuts...

Exercise: walking and yoga..

Vitamins and minerals. Water and tea.

Yay for the yoga!!!!!!!!!

Love the salad....it sounds like it would be great with a light balsamic vinegrette.

You "sound" very peaceful....and like you are taking good care of yourself.

Hugs

Hugs back at you...

The tryptophan is really helping to keep my calmness.

I love balsamic vinegar and used it a lot in the past - but with 4 gr of sugars in every tablespoon is bit too much for me. 4 gr  is not a lot until I remember that 4 gr is a teaspoon of sugar, and since I would not sprinkle 1 tsp of sugar on my salad - until I lose the excess weight - I limit any sugar,,, apple cider vinegar + few drops of stevia+ herbs are almost 0 carbs and 0 Calories.

I have ISO audit tomorrow... Once I survive that - my life should be better.
