what on your plan today?
I am getting my new freezer delivered today. I have a freezer but it is old and not frost free. I did not want to spend the money - but food in the current one is getting "lost".
To be able to eat properly - I need to make sure I have food prepared for grab and go dinners and lunches. I like to cook - so it would be easier when I can find things in my freezer. I was looking for a new one for close to a year or 2... and did not wanted to spend 700-900 for a new one.. (the one I wanted). With a special deal sears had - plus a coupon - I got a brand new 20 CF unit for around 550.. and that includes taxes and delivery.. .
Next few days I am trying to take it easy and try to discover hunger and fullness.
Hunger : it is OK to be hungry - and only eat as scheduled.. sometimes when we lose perspective - "I am starving" gets exaggerated... Only if my BS is dropping (Hypoglycemia and RH) I had to eat.. any other times - I want to learn to remember how real hunger feels.
Fullness: I eat too fast and many times I don't chew my food enough. This week I will eat slowly, chew my food and stop before I get full... I want my body to show me again how it feels when it is close to full. Remembering that it may take 10-20 min for the brain to catch up with the full feeling.
My plan for today:
coffee + Miralax...
tea, water.
1/2 avocado.
More water -
Green protein shake.
More tea and water.
Dinner: 4 oz of meat + 4 oz of cooked veggies. (premeasured)
LNS: nuts
Free food if I feel hungry: cucumbers, pickles, endives.
BTW: have in mind that my food choices are very limited due to food allergies (dairy, soy) and intolerances.. + IBS... (yea me )

Sometimes I feel like people on here are living my life ! You so described my hunger and fullness.....we are definitely on the same page as far as that is concerned.....I too am working on those two things !
My plans/eats for today.......morning vits in......water/ exercise started
breakfast............coffee/miralax.........chicken ( I know weird, but in like chicken)
snack.................none this morning.....I forgot to bring anything and I am doing crowd control in common area because today is a state testing day. 😉
lunch.................chicken, salad
snack................fruit from cafeteria
dinner...............taking my youngest to a Mexican restaurant to celebrate his "third of a century" birthday.....will do my best to avoid the chips and salsa !
No snack.............I will be full from dinner
still need to work on protein.....

my plan for today is to try and stay strong while I try my hardest to stay on track since this is day one of getting back on track..so far today I had an atkins strawberry/banana shake, and I stalk of celery with peanut butter..im trying to get more water in me but that's always been hard for me..i don't take any vits but I know I should..im fighting head hunger so bad right now..ugh
I have 1/2 roasted chicken.
I made a very simple "chicken salad" yesterday. 4 oz chicken +3 NSA pickles ( I use Buba dill pickles) + 2 tbs chopped dill+ 2 tbs pickle juice + 1 tbs good mayo, pepper.. mix all -and eat.

How the hell did Monday come back around so quickly?????
The weekend was lovely....weather getting a tad cooler. I am so glad I have yoga on Monday evenings...it sure makes the day feel better knowing there is reward in sight.
Breakfast: 2 hard boiled eggs
Snack: 2 candy canes...I know...I know...WTF?? Who the hell has Candy Canes in May??? Don't ask....they were on the break room table and I inhaled two of them, mindlessly. Nice, huh? Nothing like a self induced suger buzz followed by a sugar dump to keep the morning going strong. SMH
Lunch: 2 hard boiled egg WHITES.
Break: greek yogurt
Dinner: Crock pot white meat chicken and chili beans
Snack: apple & string cheese
It's 11:45 and I have yet to crack open a bottle of water!!! Time to get the H20 party started!
Vits on track tho.
I need to get my butt up off of my chair and out of my office for a walk, no matter how busy I am! I can't let the monday crap interfere with my quest for healthy activities, no matter how small they are.

I agree with Gaby...how the hell is it Monday already?
Great deal on the freezer. I love my chest freezer that's downstairs in the garage....but...I'm keeping an eye out for a standup freezer that would fit in the laundry room upstairs. Then I can sell the chest on craigslist and help cover the cost.
