Fot had been a long week for me. April - May is my typical yearly doc appointments.. Plus I saw gastro doc for the first time and eye doc ...

Gastro - to see if he can help me with possible IBS-C (Will see) and eye doc to check the left eye - and severe blurring in it.

The gastro - not sure if he is the one I need seeing, will do what he recommended and see.

The eye doc - well...I may have some damage so I need to see retina specialists and see if that can be fixed with surgery.

Plus my ferritin dropped so I will need to see hemas in near future to get iron infusion, and so on.

Work is supper busy and I just dont have the energy I used to have.

My food choices are shrinking.  I miss salads but if I eat raw veggies - I hurt.. (Except cucumbers) same with most fruits. I still can eat it, as long ass I don't mind cramping and some pain for up tyo 36 hrs after..

Today food:

Coffee + Miralax (lots of it - I was told to cleasn my guts)

Salami chips (layer salami or pepperoni slices on paper towel- nuke for 1-2 minutes they get nice and crispy- I use 2 layers of paper towel on the bottom and the top and weigh it down with another plate to keep the chips flat. )

Plan to make cucumber- avocado salad (fresh cucumber, dill, avocado + salt and pepper + apple cider vinegar)

Not sure what I would eat but have some baked chicken, eggs, fish, and I plan to cook some spinach and veggies.

My new - no dairy or soy chocolate pudding really rocks - so I may make some (1 ripe avocado+ 1/2 cup coconut milk + stevia + 1-2 TBS cocoa = mix all very well. So good. And thick...

Ugh !  I have had IBS since I was a child, but mine leans toward the other side of bm's.   😳.  I lived with Imodium for years.  I avoided fruits and veggies for years, but I got better before my GB....the hard part is never knowing what is going to cause a flare up.  One time I eat something, I am fine....the very same food and I am sick.  My gastroenternologist is who helped me immensely.  He is also the dr. that sent me down my WLS path.  Hang in there......it is not an easy road, but doing what the dr recommends can help.  I pray it works for you.   I also hope your eye problem can be fixed with surgery.

thanks for the salami/pepperoni chips recipe.......sounds good, plan to pick some up today and try them out tonight....looking for protein snacks

my morning vits are in and am working on water.....going to the "Big City" of Amarillo today to go to Sam's and buy more bedding plants at Home Depot.......Will get lots of walking in....I always walk the parking lot perimeter before I enter a store. ( weather permitting )......leftover habit from my Weigh****cher years......except they recommended parking as far as possible from door.....my small town parking lots are not very big, so when I go to Amarillo, I get in lots more walking.

my planned eats for today....

Breakfast..........coffee/ miralax..........breakfast burrito

lunch................steak and veggies at some restaurant in Amarillo

dinner...............will be grocery shopping today and will buy fresh veggies and pork, chicken, and fish, so I will choose that tonight.

snacks..............?

will fill in the gaps with protein and water and tea

I hope you all have a blessed weekend.

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!
