Yuck!! I left Sunshine and warm temperatures up on my mountain yesterday only to drive home to wind, rain and cold. It was a wonderful weekend and I think every last one of us (21 total) needed it. My Moma was in hog heaven because she had every single one of her "baby ducks" there with her. She got to cross off a couple of things from her bucket list ---caught a mountain trout right out of the river & a bonfire with the entire family. It really was a great weekend.  Gaby I'll have to settle down and find a couple of good family stories for you. How skinny man managed to shatter the screen of my cell phone while we were gone will probably top the list. "Why? We don't even have service here" escaped my mouth at least a dozen times. Oh well.

Hala had some great ideas for family dinners (and dinner parties in general) on her Easter weekend post. I hope everyone has remembered to chug the water and take those vitamins. I struggled and now I'm paying the price. It seems like a day or two after I "misbehave" or just plain forget to take the meds all of my joints will hurt. (Not just the poor old knees). I'm not sure if it's more a mental reminder or if maybe it's my body's way of pulling what it needs from my reserves. Either way it's an excellent reminder to get busy doing the right thing.

I'm off this afternoon to "Pool Therapy" for the knees. I'm kinda excited about that. remind me of that tomorrow. I didn't get much planned this morning in the way of food for the day. Grabbed a muffin for breakfast. A Frozen Smartones for Lunch and I'm planning on chili for dinner. Sorta boring.

Gotta run. Yall have a great day!!

Glad you had a good weekend.... Hala had wonderful ideas on her post about how to survive "any" celebration.   And I agree with her, if I take fruit salad or fruit to a gathering,  I must get to it before the rest of the group does, or it is all gone !!!   I spent a relaxing, peaceful 3 day weekend just being with the hubby.   Needed the down time.

my eats for today.........morning vits taken.....water and exercise started...

breakfast.....................coffee/miralax.........cottage cheese/ pineapple

snack..........................1/2 package oven baked cheetos

lunch...........................I actually made some mason jar salads yesterday .....plan to have one everyday this week.....I am curious to see I'd they will make it to Friday.

I measured the chicken and cheese and threw in a boiled egg, so I know the protein amounts

snack..........................orange

dinner..........................grilled pork chop and veggies

snack...........................watermelon....... I was ambitious and cut up the melon and put servings in ziplock bags.

may all of you have a great day !!   I get to go home and plant bedding plants !!  The mesquite trees are finally showing green.......means winter is over  !!!

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

The lemon water is perfectly understandable (at least from my point of view). It always seems to make me drink more water so that by itself is a great thing.
