Back On Track Together
Thursday - 3/27- Cardio & Cafe
The best thing about today is that it's Friday eve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(so far at least). A big thank you to everyone who waded through my vent yesterday and for the birthday wishes on Tuesday. It seems to have been an exhaustingly long week already.
I've told yall a little about my elderly aunt that I help take care of. She's interviewing today with an assisted living facility (fairly close to my work). I'm an emotional wreck about it. On one hand I know that she'll be much better off there. On the other hand I somehow feel like it was my duty to help her live out her life on the farm that she's called home for almost 89 years. Where do I go to resign from being an adult? I think part of what is really driving me nuts is that I'm worried about her and I'm just not a worrier....this whole set of emotions is fairly foreign to me. In the past I would have eaten it into submission. Oh how times are changing.
The plan for today is:
Commute: Coffee
Breakfast: Sausage Burrito
snack: Peanuts
Lunch: Frozen Entree
snack: the rest of my peanuts
Dinner: Tilapia & steamed veggies
I've got the vitamins in for the morning. Working on the water intake. Company comes in tomorrow about the time I get home from work so tonight's exercise is a marathon house cleaning event. I've already warned Skinny Man and the Kiddo that there will not be awards for mere participation. Only high scores will be rewarded. lol
Have a great day.

Your vent yesterday was justified......that is what we are here for !
So hard to put elderly relatives in a home.....tried keeping my Mom with me, but after nearly a year....into a local nursing home she went. It was the best choice for both of us ! I got to relax and sleep, she made new friends and ate better, plus I found out how precious true friends are. Her friends took turns visiting and some of my friends would go by just to say "hi" on their way to and from work. It meant the world to her and me ! God be with you on this difficult journey.

We got "sprizzled" on again lastnight....yet again, the spot under the vehicles remained dry. It 's such a tease.
I participated in a "Health & Wellness" program that my work offered. They pay $100 to each employee who gets a health appraisal and takes an online health assessment from their Dr or from the mobil clinic that came to our office on Tuesday. They take your height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, cholesterol and random glucose levels. My weight is a concern (no big surprise there), blood pressure was good 111/69, pulse 87, cholestrol 185, HDL 56, however, my random glucose was 155 and then 166 when tested a 2nd time. I've never had any issues with high sugar levels before so I need to keep an eye on this. I'm going in for a fasting glucose test along with all my other labs next week so that will give me a better idea about where I stand. No no no....I do not even want to toy with the idea of diabetes. Wake up call...pushing 50...time to get more serious about a few things, especially my regain.
Nike says: Just Do It.....I say: Just Flippin Do It Already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snack: celery and peanut butter
