Brrrrrr...... What a chilly way to start the week!! Mother Nature just can't seem to decide which way she wants to go. Cold, Windy & a chance of snow is not exactly what I had in mind for the first week of spring. I guess the good news is, my knees hate the cold and I have an appointment on Wednesday with the Doc. They should be in full flare up mode. I'd much rather the doc see them at their worst than have to take my word for it.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Mine was just as relaxing as I had hoped. David took me out for dinner to this wonderful Sicilian restaurant on saturday night. I ended up having to box my entire dinner up and bring home (he's having it for lunch today). I stuffed myself on the appetizer that I ordered. Cappanatas (sp?)....olives, egg plant, celery and a vinegar base. The chef served it with toasted thinly sliced baguette....Forget the bread. I ended up eating it with a spoon. Has anyone else noticed how their taste buds have changed since prior to surgery? Maybe it's because I was trying to order something other than the traditional pasta dishes and apps but this was an amazing choice. I used to HATE olives. I liked Egg plant even less.

Today's plan is looking a little blah....need to spice things up somehow.

Commute: Coffee

Breakfast: Scrambled egg burrito

snack: 1/2 pack of peanut butter nabs

Lunch: Tuna Salad

snack: 1/2 pack of peanut butter nabs

Dinner: Rotisserie Chicken & green beans

exercise is a combination of dog walking and housework tonight. I've gotten the morning vitamins in. Need to brew a fresh pot of decaf tea for the week. Yall have a great day.

Back from Spring Break.....had a good week seeing the grandchildren and even lost a pound !!  Finally decided that the cold I have had off and on since January is really allergies !!  I have never had pollen allergies before and I can tell right now that I hate them !!

It is springlike in the Texas panhandle !! WooHoo !!  Time to buy bedding plants and clean out the flower beds !  Can't plant flowers until the mesquite trees show their green.  Old wives tale, but it has never failed me.    Do you guys have a plant, tree, or bush that shows you when winter is truly over ??

my eats for today.......morning vits check✅

Breakfast..................coffee/miralax✅   Apple/cheese✅

Snack........................cheese

lunch.........................homemade veggie soup....lots of cabbage, zucchini, and yellow squash......yum !!   Maybe some saltines

snack..........................?  Choice of several things at home........usually I don't eat an evening snack, but I always post one !

i know today will be exhausting just getting back into the swing of things plus I didn't sleep well (first day of school jitters ?). 😝

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

Just to be safe this year I think I'm going to wait until Good Friday...It used to be once you saw Robins in the springtime you were fairly safe. Stupid birds lied this year. They've been in our yard for at least 2 weeks and it's supposed to snow tomorrow.

Blessed are the flexible for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Weekend was good.   I woke up today with nausea.. . so I called me acupuncture person and I will see her at 1pm.

I am changing meds, detoxing, and gave up alcohol for at least a while if not for good.  Last few weeks I was drinking way too much, and my body just can't take it.

I used alcohol as digestive help - so  I am getting used to having dense proteins (steak) with just veggies.  In the past I could only eat very dense proteins if I had some wine... I am finding out that without the help - I can only eat 3/4 to 1 cup of food.. somedays less.

Today plan:

lemon water.. ( to help with nausea)

coffee x 2

ginger tea x 2 (nausea)

homemade protein bars/cookies

burger and veggies (if I can eat)  or egg drop soup..

dinner: chicken with some veggies or fish or scallops

LNS: nuts..

lots of green tea, ginger tea and some coffee

Good morning BOTTs.

Happy Monday.  I took antibiotics all weekend in hopes of getting over this sinus/ear/eye infections.  Lots of water and lots of rest yet I still cannot hear out of my left ear.  I've never had this before so it's a bit unnerving.

Breakfast:  greek yogurt

(I had planned to only work for a little while this morning to get the absolute necessary daily tasks completed and then go home so I did not prepare any snacks or lunch to bring with me.  Unfortunately, it looks like I will be here longer than I thought so I am hopeing that the cafe here at work will have some healthy options.)

Exercise will only consist of trips back and forth to the restroom (heavy on the water intake finally) and a few trips up the stairwell.  Any more and my cough will kick in hard...followed by an asthma attack.  This is getting old.

Have a good day all, enjoy the Spring!  Iris, I hope it warms up for you.

Happy Monday,

I didn't have a great wt loss this week (-.2), but it's the beginning of wk 3 back on plan, or the beginning of wk 4 counting the tracking week, so I should have expected it. I've lost a total of 9.8 lbs in 3 weeks, better than gaining or staying where I was at. I know I'm doing what I'm supposed to do, so the weight has to drop sometime :/
