Thursday, February 27th Cardio & Cafe

Good afternoon BOTTs.

Rough morning.  I woke up to beautiful RAIN.  It's just a tiny bit...maybe 1/100th of an inch so far but I am grateful.  Then, my 16 year old daughter texted me and she is having a horrible day at school.  She inherited the "depression gene" from me, unfortunately, and it's been a really rough week or so.  So anyway...that kind of puts a gray cloud over my beautiful rainy day, so to speak.

Breakfast:  oatmeal

Snack:  SF hot chocolate

Lunch:  cafe was serving chicken and dumplings.....I asked for extra peas and less of the C & D. I did have part of a dumpling tho...kicking myself.

Snack:  apple

Dinner:  fish and veggies

Snack:  string cheese

Have a good day, friends.

Don't forget those vits and liquids!!!!

(I miss you Tess...hope all is well.)

I am glad you finally got some rain.  It was sunny here in Maryland, but bitterly cold today.   I have been missing in action this week.  I am a nurse and the building I work in has a gastroenteritis  out break.  The entire building is in isolation.  My days are spent line listing new cases and speaking with the health department.  We have had new cases daily, and at this point we are closed for normal business through next Tuesday if we don't have additional cases by tomorrow.  It's been one long week.  For some reason I am not hungry tonight.

Faylynn, are you able to leave the building, or are you stuck in isolation, as well?  I hope it all passes quickly...and the nurses stay healthy!

Oh and yes......so thankful for the rain!!!

Yes I come home  every night.  Of course we had new cases again today.  My nursing team and I have been so careful and have upped our hand washing, so far we have not gotten sick.   I pray that we will not have any additional cases after today.  The good news is that one of our floor went 24hrs with out any additional outbreaks, so I am hopeful.

The horses are loving it, Iris!  This morning when I went out to feed, they were standing out in a downpour and they looked like a pair of wet rats!  My daughter seems a little better today....it's so hard for her to see the silver lining of life when she's fighting the demons of depression.  Thank you for the well wishes!!  Good vibes help all of us.
