Humpday - 2/19 - Cardio & Cafe

Half way through the work week....YEAH!!!!!! I'm not sure why that excites me so much because my week will only get busier and crazier between now and Sunday afternoon. It really is all about family, so I'll be a happy hostess for everything that's going on. With the decline in my Stepfather's health this past year I think the turn out for his 90th birthday will be huge. He was one of 13 children and he's the only one of the boys still living. He's got 8 sisters (all younger) that still think he's the best Big brother ever. It'll be awesome.

Today's plan is simple:

commute: Coffee

Breakfast: 1/2 bagel with cream cheese and grapes

Lunch: Leftover Chicken Soup & small salad

snack: Peanut Butter & Celery

Dinner: Pork Loin & Steamed veggies

Exercise tonight is going to be a stretching & relaxing yoga dvd. Yall get tha****er & those vitamins in. Have a GREAT DAY!!

90 years young is awesome.. I do hope you saving for long retirement for you...

I am still not doing too good in avoiding foods that i know i should not eat.  I found new "addiction" "snapea crisps" . That thing looks like little snap pea pods and taste great. And even though is is mostly carbs and fat - I don't crash on it .. but carbs are really bad for me.. so I need to stop buying that thing...

Eats today is already messed up but I will try to do my best to improve from now on.

coffee+ miralax

Extend drizzles..

more coffee

Snapea Crisps.. (was too many)

lunch: going out so not sure what will I get - but most likely some meat and veggies..

pork and pickles

blueberries with coconut milk.

some nuts

I've seen the snap pea crisps but since I'm not normally a chip eater, I've been able to leave them alone. I can see how they'd get me in trouble ----QUICK.

snack: protein shake with half milk

dinner: going to make spaghetti and meatballs (no pasta for me)

Sounds like it will be a wonderful celebration.  I had one in November for my Dad you turned 95.  It was a special day.  So I was 4 days carb detox and down a few pounds.  Then today came.  Set an intention and was prepared bought my breakfast and lunch to work as always.  Stopped at the health food store to pick up flax seeds while out in the field.  I don't know why I thought I could purchase flax cookies made with flax, dates and coconut.  Did not have a good ending.  There is no refined carbs that should trigger cravings, but they were sweet.  I find I cannot eat anything that tastes even remotely sweet.  I am still full.  Was planning on fish for dinner with asparagus, but might just call it a day.  Is anyone able to do moderation eating?  I don't seem able to and think I should, but continue to fail.  New approach needed.

Hugs.., moderation - some foods I can practice that,.. Others - not so much.  Carbs - even good ones makes me craving more and more.   There are snacks that I can eat only as much as I intend to have... trying new things is my challenge.

I noticed buying individual servings bags (some chips - Terra chips) allowed me to be really good with serving size. Once thge 12oz box was gone - I would not reach for a second. But thge big bags - ugh...
