Happy Valentines day.  I been missing in action for a couple of day.  As a nurse my work continues even when there a snow storm.   The community that worked in sheltered in place for the storm.  I am home now after two days at work around the clock.  Yesterday we picked staff up,  there was no  bus service in the area due to the snow.  We got between 1 - 1 1/2 feet of snow.   The early morning hours was the worst.  When went out the send time around noon to pick up the evening crew the  main roads were passable.  After the first rounds of snow Wednesday night into Thrusday morning, we were it with about 4-5 inches last night.   So needless to say it been a challenge all around.  My eating was not at its best on yesterday, but I am home now and my choices are better.  I hope to get out to the gym later day, I just need to shovel out again.  This snow it a wet heavy snow and very hard to shovel.  I decided to post since I had not seen Tess on.  Have a great weekend.  My eats for today are.

Breakfast

protein shake

turkey sausage 3oz

lunch

tuna

greek yogurt

Dinner

Happy Valentine's Day !!  Won't be any heart shaped boxes of candy in my house !!  Sad thing is, there never has been.  Not once in 40 years has my hubby given me chocolate.  Now don't blame him....I always tell him not to buy me candy.....I tell people, that I have suffered and sacrificed all my life for this body !!!  😜. He bought me a pair of SAS shoes, that is exactly what I wanted....and there was a big Lacey Valentine card in my bathroom sink this morning.....I love that man !!!

Stay safe and warm all of you that have been hit by this storm.......here in the Panhandle of Texas......today will be in the 60's and this weekend is going to be record highs in the upper 70's !!   Gotta love the weather.....we had ice and snow last weekend.

This week ( since last Saturday ) has not been my best eating days.... Kinda been off track.....but at least I am still thinking about my food plan, coming here and posting, and still trying !!!

my eats for today .......

breakfast..............coffee, miralax and cheese/ham

snack....................pear

lunch.....................chicken and veggies

dinner....................hubby is taking me out for an early dinner for Valentine's so I am not sure of what I will order

snack......................planning protein coffee.....I am sponsoring a high school dance tonight and there will be snacks......if I hold my coffee mug in my hands all night, I should be ok !!!

be safe and be well !!

Slow and steady !!!!  Have a Blessed Day !!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG.....I see the SUN.  I told David that the Golden Orb in the sky was the perfect present. In typical male fashion, he took full credit for it. Love that man.

This is our weekend to have the kiddos so it'll be a fairly low key Valentine's Day celebration. I did make my fellas (ManChild, #2 son & the Kiddo) all their favorite pies. ManChild would love to have Spaghetti for dinner but the Kid-ette doesn't like the peppers and mushrooms that are a huge part of it so we'll be having Lasagna for dinner.  #1 son is enjoying yet another snow day in the mountains. Once they thaw out then he and his girl can enjoy a night out - I sent new clothes and her mom sent them an Outback gift card...Lucky kids.

Hope everyone stays warm and has a fantastic day.

Commute: Coffee

Breafkast: Eggs and bacon

Snack: Clementine

Lunch: Salad w/ grilled salmon

Dinner: Lasagna

lns: SF pudding

Last night when I was in the store I picked up some Crystal Light Pink Lemonade single packs. I'd forgotten just how much I liked these. Makes getting my water in so much easier.

I haven't had the CL pink lemonade in a very long time...I think I will give it another go, too.  Anything to make the water go down easier!!

I haven't tried the mango-peach. I used to drink the peach tea all the time....until...I had to have my first colonoscopy and the nurse told me to flavor it with something that I didn't care if I ever drank again. Yep!! You guessed it. I mixed it with Peach tea and swilled my gallon that I had to drink. I will forever associate that taste with the 12 hours that followed. Not ever planning on willingly drinking the swill again in this lifetime.

Yes that is one of my new favs!! I also like the peach & raspberry too! It does make getting water in, more refreshing.
Flavor means everything.
Thanks!

Got to brag on my ManChild for a quick minute...he sent me flowers to work. Awwwwwwwww.....Red roses, white carnations, pink carnations with a heart necklace around a beautiful red vase. I guess old dogs can learn new tricks.

Happy Valentine's Day BOTTs.

I sincerely hope that all is well with Tess...I wonder if she is without power.  I certainly hope not.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have had it with the heat here....ridiculous for it to be mid-80's in February.

Breakfast:  2 hard boiled eggs

Snack: SF hot chocolate

Lunch:  baked fish and green beans

Snack:  1 hard boiled egg

Dinner:  seered ahi and a wonderful lemon/garlic sause

Snack:  I just have a feeling I will have indulge a little in chocolate.  Moderation and I will enjoy it!!

I like to think of Valentine's Day as a "healthy heart day".  My work has nurses set up to take blood pressures throughout the day for anyone to come by for a free blood pressure test.  Mine was 100/70 so I must be doing something right. : )

Have a great weekend, friends.  Be safe, stay warm, or cool if you live where it's hot.
