I haven't seen any postings yet today so I'm assuming Tess and some of the others are snowed in. The Weather Channel is showing the Southern US getting hammered. At this point it looks like it's going to stay 1 county south of me.  YIPPEE!!!!!!! I never thougt I'd ever see this beach baby excited not to be getting snow. It's normally so rare for us that everyone loves it. BUT, we've already had 2 fairly major storms for our area and I'm just plain over the snow and cold temps. The dampness that comes along with our snows is wreaking havoc on my poor old knees.

I remembered my breakfast and lunch today. (GO ME!!!) It's looking like a good day for my choices.

Commute: Coffee

Breakfast:  Scrambled Eggs with Cheese

Lunch: Chili and small salad

snack:  Peanut Butter and celery

Dinner:  Rotisserie chicken and green beans (possible boiled potato)

LNS: Smoothie  (Greek yogurt, vanilla protein powder & handful of frozen fruit)

Someone had posted about the iron supplement causing them to burp. I take mine at night when I have a late night snack and that seems to do the trick for me. If I skip the snack and take it on an empty stomach then I wake up with that sour stomach feeling. Good luck finding what works for you.

Not sure what the exercise is going to be for the day. I've got to crawl up in the attic and find some hidden gems (a pair of Rainboots & a comforter among a list of items) that David swears he hasn't moved but I know he has. Between the cussing and crawling I imagine I'll be gasping for breath when I come back down.

Yall stay warm & safe.

Thanks for posting.  We did get ice and snow so I did not get to wor****il 9:00 AM and I have been going every since.  At least now it looks like it is melting off the roads.  This morning I thought I was making the high jump at Sochi on one hill but came to a perfect stop at the end of it.

Good morning BOTTs.

Tess and Iris, you both made me smile with your comments.  Such a great way to start my day, coming to this group.

The whole San Diego area is begging for rain...it's so dry around here everyone is taking water conservation measures.  I used to have a lawn in my front and back yards but have long since "converted" it to desert scape with rocks and sparce desert type vegetation, ie. lavander and sage plants.  The cost of keeping a lawn watered is phenominal.  My bigges****er consumption is my two old ladies (two old red quarter horse mares) out back.

Breakfast:  oatmeal

Snack: SF hot chocolate

Lunch:  tomato stuffed with tuna

Snack:  almonds usually about 15

Dinner:  chicken breast shredded in chili over a small green salad

Snack:  greek yogurt

My work started a Stairwell Campaign for the next 6 weeks,  it started yesterday.

I was so busy that I couldn't break away to start early in the day so right before I went home, I managed to eak out 5 trips up and down the stairwell of 24 stairs.  Today I've already got that many in...let me tell you....the 4.5 and 5th trips are NOT lightening fast.  haha at least they are happening.

Have a great day and stay warm, friends.

Gaby

I saw an allergist today.. they poked me and scratched me,  and it looks like I am severely allergic to soy.. (I did not know that - but I was avoiding that anyway due to thyroid issue, and gas..) and as I expected - I am allergic to dairy... (milk).

The good news is that beside those 2 - nothing show on the tests for food allergies.. I know I have some food intolerance due to digestion (beans, gluten, cabbage family)  and some food issue with starchy foods due to RH.  So what I can eat - is shrinking even more..

I had some beer and cheese last night, and whip cream.. and some cookies.. ... (he he he) so today I was in a full allergic state. The doc asked me 3 times if I am sure I don't have sinus infection.. I told him that I just made sure I ate things that caused issues for me in the past so he can hear and see me in my real state when I didn’t take any antihistamine.

I am also allergic to dust, (I knew there is a reason I hate cleaning) and grasses and weeds.. (is anyone not allergic to that?)

For next 2 months i need to try to avoid the foods and take antihistamine daily and we will see..

I was very happy to find out that I am not allergic to eggs... (probably as long as they are not fed soy..) or meats..

Also - the basic nuts allergy - came clear..

On one hand I am OK with that - on another -

no more cheese

no more whipped cream

no more yogurt

no more creamed cheese

no more butter

no more RTD's (they have soy or milk or both)

no more so many things that uses milk or soy..

o well.. life goes on.. no?

Hala I'm sorry about all of your restrictions!!!  And I completely understand you eating those trigger foods before your appointment...for me it compares to taking your car to a shop because of a "noise" and once you get there, you have no proof and you sound like a nut.

So...your plan is no cleaning, no weeding or yard work, and your eats will be eggs and nuts.

I hope you have, since, taken your antihistimines and are recovering from your full scale allergic state!!   That is so uncomfortable!!

I know there's more you can eat, but right now it sounds pretty restricting.

Best wishes for you.
